"So how about homecoming with me?" Theo says. I don't know what to say. I want to go with him because he's my best friend but I also want to go with Ethan because I like him.
"I'll think about it" I answer. I smile at him and walk away with Maddy.
"What are you going to do?" She asks.
"I have no idea!".
I hear someone say: "good! I'll pick you up at 6:30 pm." I see Rebecca talking to... Ethan. He looks at me with a smile. I know he wants to piss me off because he saw me talking to Theo. I look at Maddy and smirk.
I start running in the other direction and jump on Theo's back and say: "I would love to go with you!". I say those words loud to make sure Ethan hears me.
"Yayyy!! I'll call you later to tell you at what time I'll pick you up." Theo says. I get off his back, turn around and I see Ethan looking at me with his arms crossed. I smirk at him and join Maddy.
"You're using Theo to make Ethan jealous?"
"Of course not! Ethan has his date and I have mine. Plus, it's been a long time since I saw Theo. It will be like a 'Welcome back' event."
"Okay. Just be kind to Theo. He's a good guy Lex."
"I know. That's why he's my best friend."
After school:
"Ready to go shopping?" Maddy asks.
"Yep. Let me just go change and I'm ready." I go into my room and pick some simple clothes.
*BUZZ BUZZ*
I go check who's texting me.

Why? Just why? One second he's sweet and everything and the other he's selfish and a jerk.
"Lexie? You ready?"
"Yes, I'm coming!" I go downstairs and we leave in my car. I drive to the mall and I park in the parking lot. We go inside and Maddy brings me to a first dress store. I don't really like the dresses there. So we go into another store. I found two beautiful dresses.

"I don't know which one I want to wear!" I groan.
"Take both!" Maddy says.
"Do you know how much these dresses cost!?"
"No..."
"At least $150 each!" I snap.
"Sorry..." Maddy looks down.
"No. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have talked to you like that. I'm just so stressed."
"It's okay. I understand."
"That's why we're besties." I hug her and we start laughing.
I see a girl wearing the same white dress as me. She turns around and I see Rebecca with Ethan. Why this store? Why today? Why this dress? Why? Just WHY?
I change into the dark blue dress. I get out the dressing room and Ethan saws me. He looks at me up and down. Rebecca turns around too because she's talking to Ethan and he's not answering. I wink at them both and I turn around. Maddy is laughing. I start laughing too.
I go into the dressing room and put my clothes back on. I get out and look at Ethan. He looks at me back. I roll my eyes and walk away.
"Which one?" Maddy asks.
"Certainly not the same one as Rebecca!"
"So the dark blue one?"
"Yep."
"Yes! I thought the white one looks too much like a wedding dress."
"Yeah true. She's cute tho!" I say
I buy the dress and we leave the mall. We go in the parking lot and found my car. I drive home and park in the driveway. We get out of the car and go to my room. I put on the dress again cuz why not? I look at myself in the mirror on my wall. I really made the right choice.
