Ethan and... Jessie.  Making out.  He's probably drunk... right? But how could he do this to me? I'm his girlfriend! I can't believe what I'm seeing. I can't even find words. I just walk back downstairs. Tears falling on my cheeks but I wipe them off. I'm more mad than sad. Like I wanted to surprise him by coming back earlier but instead of me surprising him, it's me being surprised by finding him almost fucking his ex-girlfriend.

Maddy sees me walking down the stairs.

"Did you find him?" She asks.

"Oh yeah, I did!"  I answer angrily.

"Woah, what happened?"

"Caught him and Jessie hooking up"

"NO!"

"I need a drink." I say walking to the kitchen.

"Euh Lex... You haven't had a drink in 3 years..." Maddy follows me.

"I know. That's why I need one right now. Did Ethan drink tonight?" I ask.

"Not to my knowledge..."

"So he isn't drunk?" I ask filling a red solo cup with the first thing I see that says 'vodka' on it.

"No..."

"Well that confirmes that he cheated on me on purpose!" I take a sip of my drink. "OUF. I forgot how alcohol feels like." I laugh.

*Maybe 10 drinks later*

My head is spininnnnnggggg. I can't stop dancing and saying stupid stuff.

"Maddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy."

"Okay, Lex I think you drank enough for tonight." Maddy says taking my drink.

"Give me that back!" I try to take my drink from her hands but instead, I trip and fall on the ground.

I start laughing. Maddy helps me get up. She looks by the stairs and her eyes widen. I look over and see Ethan coming downstairs with Jessie. Maybe I'm drunk but I know I'm mad at him for some reason but I don't remember why.

I think he sees me and he comes in my way. I panic for a moment and I do the first thing that comes to my mind. I take a random guy and start making out with him. I don't have an idea of what I just did. Maddy quickly pushes me off him.

"What the fuck are you doing, Lexie?" Ethan asks

"The exact same things as you." I don't know where that came from. I don't even know what's it supposed to mean.

"We have to go." Maddy says taking my arm.

"But I don't wan..."

"NOW! You've done enough damage for tonight."

Maddy's pov

When I saw Ethan coming downstairs, I knew it was time for Lexie to go home. I tried to tell her that we had to go before Ethan sees her but she decided to start making out with a guy and Ethan saw her. I pushed her off the guy and Ethan came. Shit. She's too drunk. We really have to go.

"Lexie we have to go!" I say for the second time. I hate calling her Lexie. I only call her like that when it's something very serious.

She looks at me and I think she understands what she just did. She looks back at Ethan who I know is soon gonna explode from anger.

"Ethan... I..." She tries to say.

"Theo, get Lexie in the car. I need to talk to Ethan." I say to Theo who isn't really drunk.

Theo takes Lexie in his arms (wedding style) and they walk out of the house. I look at Ethan.

"Why?" I ask.

"I... I didn't know she was coming back today..." Ethan tries to explain.

"YOU CHEATED ON HER ETHAN!" Everyone looks at us. "You broke my best friends heart. She didn't drink since her father died! It's all your fault. Now I have to take care of her. I hope you're proud of yourself asshole." I push him off and go to my car.

I drive to Lex's house because if she comes to my place it would be too hard to explain what happened to her mother. I gave Lex some water bottles for her to drink while we were on our way to her house.

I park and I see her mother come out of the house. Her arms are crossed on her chest. We can tell she's mad. Theo and I take Lex in her house with her mother's help. He put her to bed and she instantly falls asleep which is a good thing.

"I told her to not drink." Her mother says sitting on the couch.

"I tried to stop her but she wouldn't listen..."

"She hasn't drink since her father's death." Mrs. Walker put her head in her hands.

"I know." I say rubbing her back gently.

"She's so lucky to have you, Madison"

"You can call me Maddy."

She looks at me and smiles slightly.

"What happened?" She asks.
