We finish eating and Ethan wants to pay but I don't want him to pay such a high price alone. I take out 50 bucks and give it to the waiter. Ethan looks at me. I smile. He rolls his eyes and pays the rest.

We go in his car. "You really didn't have to" Ethan looks at me.

"I know. But I didn't want you to pay for everything for me."

He rolls his eyes and leans in. I put my finger to his lips. He opens his eyes confused.

"No kisses when I have makeup on. Understand?" He raises an eyebrow. I smile and put my seat belt on. Ethan sighs and starts the car. I laugh.

He's driving and I don't recognize the road.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Remember the day you told me that you always wanted a tattoo?" My mouth drop. I look at him.

"SHUT UP!!"He laughs "Oh my god I love you so much!" I kiss Ethan on the cheek. I start getting excited. Wait. I told him I loved him... I hope he didn't realize.

We go inside and sign a couple of papers. We go in the back. I don't want one too big. Ethan has a couple of tattoos and he told me that he would get another one today. He also told me that I could choose it for him. But he has to choose mine too...

I'm a little bit scared. I never had a tattoo before. I don't know if it will hurt or not.

"Who's first?" a woman says. Ethan smiles at me.

"Her." He says. I look at him scared. He laughs and goes in a room and talks to the woman. I guess it's for the tattoo he's gonna pick for me.

Maybe 2 minutes later, they come back and the woman gives me a blindfold. I look at Ethan. "Put it on babe!" I roll my eyes and put it on. I hear the "bzzz". My heart is pounding so fast. Ethan takes my hand. I feel the needles inside my skin on my left wrist.

"OW! It hurts!" I groan.

"It's not that bad!" Ethan says. I squeeze his hand very hard.

"Sorry!" He says trying to loosen my hand. I laugh.

"Ow!" I groan again.

"Is it done?" I ask "Can I take the blindfold off now?"

"Yes." Ethan takes it off. I'm scared to see what the tattoo is. I open one eye and look.

"It's beautiful!" I look at Ethan. It's a little heart.

I'm glad he didn't choose something stupid. Now, it's my turn to choose. I go with the woman in the same room that Ethan and her went in. I look at all the tattoos. There's so many. I can't choose! Maybe after 5 minutes of trying to find a tattoo, I find the one.

We go back to Ethan and he puts the blindfold on. The woman starts to do his tattoo on his right ankle. I hold his hand but the needles don't seem to bother him. It looks like it doesn't even hurt.

"Does it hurt?" I ask.

"Nah. It tickles a bit." I'm confused as hell. But he already has a few tattoos so it's maybe because of that that it doesn't hurt him.

"Done." The woman says. Ethan takes off the blindfold and looks at the tattoo on his ankle.

"Do you like it?" I ask nervously.

"Yes! 'D' for Dolan?" Ethan asks.

"Yeah." I answer.

"I love it! Thanks, babe." He gets up, hugs me, and tries to kiss me on the cheek.

"No kisses!" he groans.

We go back in the car and Ethan drives back to my house. He parks in my driveway.

"Thanks for tonight. It was really nice." I kiss Ethan on the cheek and leave a lipstick mark. I laugh and I get out of the car. I wave at Ethan and go into my house.

My mom and my sister are in the living room watching Netflix. I go upstairs, take off my makeup, put on some comfy clothes, and go join my mom and sister.

"How was your date?"My sister ask. I laugh.

"It was really nice." I look at my tattoo. I show it to my sister.

"Wow! You got a tattoo! I want one too!"

"You're too young Kayla. You're only 8!" She sighs. My mom turns around and grabs my wrist looking at my tattoo. She looks at me and I slightly smile. She rolls her eyes.

"Did it hurt?" she asks.

I thought I was about to have a talk with my mom but she seems pretty chill about it. My mom is always here for me. She's almost like a friend to me.

"It hurts like hell!" I answer. We both laugh. She turns back and we just watch the movie. We all fall asleep there.
