3rd POV
Kaitlyn grabbed his wrist lightly making her way to his bed to sit down. She knew she could trust Jaeden. Although they didn't know everything about each other, she felt as if she had known him forever and could trust him. "Okay here goes nothing" Kaitlyn mumbled her breath. Jaeden tried his best not to rush her as the curiousity almost to the best of him.
"I don't really know what happened it was just so, so fast and unexpected. I went to meet up with Sophia and her friend, Bella. We had an amazing time ." She said breathlessly closing her eyes shut. Jaeden held her hand trying to comfort her in anyway he could. "I-I walked over to where my mom was waiting for me. She just told that Jason, her husband-" Kaitlyn tried to finish but Jaeden cut her off. "Your stepfather" He asked. "I wouldn't call him that" She mumbled. "Anyways um- she said that he was angry and to make sure to be on my very best behavior. When we got home I went upstairs to my room to take my shoes off and get dressed for bed when Jason just bursted in my room." Kaitlyn feels a tear start to go down her cheak but quickly wiped it away. "He came in yelling, and you could just smell the alcohol in you breath, I knew he was drunk which scared me because he beame aggressive when he was drunk. He was saying how nobody wanted me and I had to leave" By now she was sobbing. " He pushed me to the ground and I got up and got my charger and went downstairs for my mom. I told her what he said and-" Kaitlyn couldn't finish as more and more tears started to fall. "She said it was her idea" She said
Shee sounded so broken that it was painful for Jaeden to hear or see. He pulled her into his chest allowing her to cry onto his chest. He started to brush her hair with his fingers whispering soothing things into her ear. "You have me and you always will, I promise" He said kissing the top of her head. "Thank you" She finally said before going to sleep almost instantly in his warm arms. "Anything for you" He whispered.
