"You are falling for him?!" Caroline remarked poignantly.
Elena took a deep breath, but didn't react to Caroline's comment. She looked at a dress hanging on the wardrobe door. "Now that it's moved to dawn. I - I don't know what I am going to wear. I will just put that green dress on."
"You can't get married in that green dress!" Caroline shot in a huff.
"Well, maybe I just wear the gown from the Ball then. Like - who cares - it's only a ritual wedding- not a real one. " Elena said.

Caroline sighed resigned somewhat."Ok. Leave things to me. You- you revise those vows and leave me to think of the dress. I will see you in a little bit"
Elena hung up and tossing the phone on the bed, now went through the bag with her clothes that Elijah brought over.
She got all of it out, and now browsed through the few dresses she had bought recently. They were all pretty casual summer dresses. The green dress seemed the best of the three.
She now took it off and went to read the vows in old norse.
Elijah, who was now under the shower, played now Elena's answer to Caroline's question earlier, namely, Elena's deep sigh, that expressed her sentiments, being a mixture of so many different things. He knew that none of this was easy for her. And though a little while ago, when they danced, when they pretended to be close outside the Grand Ball Mansion, and her room, where they slipped in a momentary enchanting moment, as she looked at him with the way she did, a moment where they were the closest they had ever been, when it seemed that they were about to kiss, all, was just her confused heart playing tricks. A heart he could not stop listening to, and a heart that didn't beat for him. Not in the way he wished it.
Flashback
In Klaus' house, just before Elijah went to pick up Elena and Caroline
Klaus was on the phone to Rebekah
"He was in love with Elena before he even knew it. I saw it in his eyes."Rebekah said.
"What are you talking about, Rebekah?"
"It was back in Mystic Falls. Just before the Ball. Elena really peeved me off and I just wanted her dead. Elijah rescued her. But it was not one of those noble acts on the part our brother." Rebekah retold Klaus what had happened.
"She was in his heart wedged a long time. And now he is to marry her. Nature sure plays its tricks. So, are you going to the wedding?"
