The Faker (Katsuki Bakugou x Reader)

Chapter 8

"And the next even will be... a Calvery Battle!" Midnight said excitedly from the stage. She then went on to explain the rules. One thing that caught my attention was the point system targeting the ones on top from the first event.

Everyone seemed to turn and look at Izuku. 'Poor guy.' I thought to myself, knowing he was the main target.

"You have 15 minutes to pick your teams! Starting...Now!"

I scanned the crowd for ideal team mates. 'Definetly not Bakugou...Maybe Shouto?' I thought as I stood in the same place.

Time was dwindling down and I didn't have a team. 'Shit shit shit...' A grasp on my shirt got my attention. "Please be on my team, (L/n)-San!" Midoriya pleaded. With such a large reward on his head we would be destined for failure.

"Um... I don't know...I-"

"Sorry, He is already on our team." A familiar voice said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me away from the green headed boy.

"Hell no! I said to find someone good, not this trash." Bakugou said to Kirishima,  who just laughed. "I think he will be a fine addition. Plus we need another person and the pickings are slim." I just stood uncomfortably as they argued. "Fine but I am the top of this horse." The explosive male concluded.

The time soon ran out and we all got in our positions. I was on the left and Sero held him up from the right. 

The battle was an absolute cluster fuck of screaming and people shoving around. Panic welled in me as we ran together. I knew if we lost Bakugou would have a stroke.

Everything was a blur. I couldn't focus on anything thug was happening. I just did what Bakugou was yelling as us to do. Although, I did feel bad for Kirishima, Bakugou kept hitting him on the head when he got mad. It was honestly amusing.

It wasn't long before that eventually came to a well awaited end. I let out a sigh of relief as Bakugou jumped off our shoulders and we passed to the next round. 'Looks like I will live a little longer.'

"Good job, (F/n)" Kirishima hit me on the back and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. "Thanks, you too." I said as we exited the arena and to our seats.

"So what exactly is your quirk? I've never really seen you use it." Midoriya asked as he faced me. Everyone else around seem interested in it too. "Yeah, didn't you make roots come out of the ground or something in the obstical course?" Denki asked leaning over the seats from the row behind me.

"It's nothing special, just plant manipulation. " I didn't want to say too much about it considering I would have to fight at least one of them in the one-on-ones.

"(L/n) (F/n) Please report to waiting room B." An announcement rang through our section and I stood up. "Good luck." A few of my class mates called out as I walked off. 'Now is where I get my game plan together...' I thought ad I walked along the halls to my designated spot.

My stomach was doing flips as I walked out into the bright lights of the stadium. The crowd was cheering as both me and my opponent made out way to the middle.

"Lets hope that guys belt has some kind of purpose, it's Yuga Aoyama from hero course, class 1-A!"

"...And the transfer student from the same class, (L/n) (F/n)!" A roar of more cheers and applause erupted. I had a good idea how I was going to beat him, it was honestly quite simple. Exploit his weakness. 'Focus...'

"BEGIN!"

I quickly dodged out of the way of the naval laser he shot at me. I landed on my shoulder and rolled, sitting in a squatting position waiting for his next move. I quickly realized I was at the major disadvantage for there were no plants near me and the root system underground was too weak to use.

Although not all the cards were stacked against me. I knew he couldn't shoot off that laser for long until he would have to stop. I kept on the move, dodging his blasts until I saw my chance.
