In celebration of the twentieth chapter, I'll be making a special :)
Every twenty chapters or so, I'll making something like a one shot.
Like, the story will continue like normal after each chapter, so this is, like, a special special.
Anyways, here :)
(So a person only has one soulmate. When they are born, they have words or numbers written somewhere on their body- its the last words their soulmate will ever say to them. Enjoy and don't kill me please :) )
-----------------
Standing on the edge of the food of my house, I stared at my shaking hands, which had ink all over them. Most from me, of course. Some of it was even washing off.
But one was permanently tattooed on my skin. It read:
Always, baby. Always.
I bit my trembling lip, hearing his voice, feeling his kiss...
I sobbed silently, my eyes filling with hot tears as I held my arm out in front of me, wondering what it'd feel like to just...
Fall.
I drew my hand back quickly, only to run both of them in my hair.
"You said you'd always be there, d*mmit!" I shouted, my knees wobbly as I stared at the ground that was five stories below me.
Nice house, nice parents, nice life.
Everything was perfect.
Until he came along.
I closed my eyes. "You were supposed to be there. You were supposed to be there. You were supposed to be there..."
My vision blurred as I remembered saying that to someone.
"...you were supposed to be there when I fell, d*mn it!" I exclaimed, rubbing my sore bum as I glared at a twelve year old Marah, who was just laughing at me.
She lifted up a hand to wipe a tear off hee cheek, shaking her red face. "Y-you just startled me, is all."
"Whatever. You saw me. You're such a d*ck."
She pursed her lips, attempting- and failing- to keep a straight face.
"Why are you so butthurt?" She asked, then continued to laugh.
I flipped her off. "Screw you and your puns. My *ss and I need a vacation from your silliness. I just can't take you right now, you're so immature." I growled at her, spinning around to walk away, my hoodie hitting my lower thighs, my hands covered by the oversized sleeves.
"Aww, babe, you will always look cute in my hoodie," she called after me. I let out a frustrated scream and I ripped off the hoodie quickly, not caring if I got a fabric burn or whatever. I was completely p*ssed. I held the fabric out for her to take, lightly shaking it. "Take it. Now."
Marah's eyes widened, then she frowned, her laughter dying down almost immediately.
"No," she said, shaking her head as she walked toward me. "Keep it."
I blinked in surprise at her sudden mature moment, blushing as she winked at me before running away.
"See you later, (Y/N)!" She called, waving as he quickly joined her friends who were waiting for her outside of the soccer field, where I currently was.
