Song: Legends Never Die
{Season 1: EP. 4}
While Wendy was getting her symbol at the base, far away the second test was about to begin. They arrived at what seemed to an entrance of a very long maze.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the seconds of the White Swan Corp Entrance Test are about to begin! One person for the four teams will enter the maze, at the end of the maze, there is a chalice. The first one to grab the chalice wins. Now for our contestants. Clover Diggory and Musa Lockester!" The cheers and applause sent birds from the forest fluttering into the darkening sky. Musa smiled at her longtime friend Clover as she smiled back. Clover and Musa have been friends since diapers, but Clover moved away, luckily they still send each other letters. "Zeke Durmstrang!" More applause. " Fleur Beauxbatons Academy! Now, since this maze is extremely dangerous. You will be using wands to enhance your magic. You don't have to though." Whiskey explained as he passed out the wands. Musa's wand was purple with white ivy vines on it.
Musa could just make out Zayla, Felicity, and Alice applauding Fleur politely, halfway up the stands. She waved up at them, and they waved back, beaming at her.
"So. . . on my whistle, Musa and Clover!" said Whiskey. "Three - two - one -"
He gave a short blast on his whistle, and Musa and Clover hurried forward into the maze.
The towering hedges cast black shadows across the path, and, whether because they were so tall and thick or because they had been enchanted, the sound of the surrounding crowd was silenced the moment they entered the maze. Musa felt almost as though she were underwater. He pulled out his wand, muttered, "Lumos," and heard Clover do the same just behind him.
After about fifty yards, they reached a fork. They looked at each other.
"See you," Musa said, and she took the left one, while Clover took the right.
Musa heard Whiskey's whistle for the second time. Zeke had entered the maze. Musa sped up. Her chosen path seemed completely deserted. She turned right, and hurried on, holding her wand high over her head, trying to see as far ahead as possible. Still, there was nothing in sight.
Whiskey's whistle blew in the distance for the third time. All of the champions were now inside.
Musa kept looking behind her. The old feeling that he was being watched was upon her. The maze was growing darker with every passing minute as the sky overhead deepened to a navy. She reached a second fork.
"Point Me," she whispered to his wand, holding it flat in his palm.
The wand spun around once and pointed toward his right, into the solid hedge. That way was north, and she knew that she needed to go northwest for the center of the maze. The best she could do was to take the left fork and go right again as soon as possible.
The path ahead was empty too, and when Musa reached a right turn and took it, he again found his way unblocked. Musa didn't know why, but the lack of obstacles was unnerving him. Surely he should have met something by now? It felt as though the maze were luring him into a false sense of security. Then she heard movement right behind him. She held out her wand, ready to attack, but its beam fell only upon Clover, who had just hurried out of a path on the right-hand side. Clover looked severely shaken. The sleeve of her leather jacket was smoking.
