{Season 2|EP.5}
Scotch looked at the floor to see 3 people laying there. Diablo. Adam.
And
Zayla.
“Zay. Zay, Zay no no. please! Please wake up!” Scotch shook her bleeding body. “Zayla! Zayla wake up! I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” Scotch’s eyes filled up with tears. “No, no, no!” Scotch then tapped the watch on Zayla’s wrist causing a picture of Wendy to pop up.
“Wendy! Where are you?” Scotch asked. “In the town. Why what’s wrong?” Wendy asked. “How fast can you get here?” Scotch asked and seconds later Wendy appeared right next to him, along with Vodka. “Zayla-chan?” Wendy voice trembled. “What happened?” Vodka asked.
“I...I shot her...I don’t know what happened. I kept staring at Diablo and just wanted to shoot him. He was the only thing I could see. When I shot him a 2nd time I didn’t know I shot Zayla until her body dropped to the floor.” Scotch shortly explained. “How long has the bullet been in?” Wendy asked.
“A minute, minute and a half.” Scotch answered. “Maybe, just maybe I can save her.” Wendy said as she knelt by Zayla. “Please work.” Wendy whispered as she placed her hands on the bullet wound. A soft white glow emitted from her hands. Wendy began chanting in a whole different language.
“Do you know what she’s saying?” Scotch asked. “Nope. It’s in dragon tongue. Only other Dragon Riders can understand it.” Vodka answered. "Prothu adiknu vak doyi garuñ vuk prothu ahaigik vuk tomi varu suyi piyi.” Wendy chanted.
“I shot her.” Scotch stated. “She gonna be okay.” Vodka assured him. “But I shot her. I shot the girl I haven’t been able to get out of my head the last two years, maybe even more. And what did I do? I shot her.” Scotch sighed. “I know what you’re going thru.” Vodka sighed. “You do?” Scotch asked, surprised to say the least.
“Last year, in january. Me and Wendy were training. We were sword fighting, I took it a little to far and bam. Went straight thru her chest. I was inches close to hitting her heart. I was scared. I kept thinking that if she dies, her blood is gonna be splattered on my hands. But she didn’t die. Thanks to Pandora.”
“When I stabbed her, I could hear this voice saying to just keep on doing it. It said that I should’ve hit her heart and finish her off there and then. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t stab her. As much as the voice told me to. I couldn’t do it. And every single day I am grateful I didn't. Cause if I did, there would be no Wendy Salazar here today. And I couldn’t live in a world where there wasn’t one.”
“It’s the exact same reason why you didn’t shot Zayla. Cause you couldn’t live in a world without her.” Vodka added. “Woah.” Scotch gasphed. “Yeah, so don’t worry. And don’t shoot her again.” Vodka said. Soon, the whole group came to Diablo’s house. And Scotch had to explain to all of them.
“You shot her?” Gin asked as Scotch nodded. “And you shot Diablo.” Felicity added as Scotch nodded again. “Honestly, one day each member of our group is gonna have a stab wound or a bullet wound.” Musa sighed. “She’s not wrong.” Gin chuckled. “How long has Wendy been healing her?” Carla asked.
“About 2 or 3 hours now. She keeps chanting in dragon tongue.” Vodka answered. “Prothu adiknu vak doyi garuñ vuk prothu ahaigik vuk tomi varu suyi piyi.” Wendy chanted. “Do you guys know what she’s saying?” Felicity asked. “Barely.” Whiskey answered. “What? You’re a Dragon Rider. Can’t you understand her?” Parviz asked.
“Barely, it’s like really old Dragon Tongue. Like X124 Dragon Tongue.” Tequila added. “How does she know old dragon tongue?” Gin asked. “I have no idea.” Whiskey answered. “Hey Whiskey, I’ve always wanted to know something. You don’t have a cat, but Tequila, Zayla, Wendy, do. But how come you don’t?” Musa asked as Whiskey sighed.
“I had a cat, long before I joined White Swan. His name was Vector. But, one day. Me and him were running away from these bad guys and he tripped over something. I tried going back for him but he was already gone. I was devastated. And I never saw him again.” Whiskey shortly explained.
“Oh, I’m sorry I asked.” Musa apologized. “It’s fine.” Whiskey said as they looked at Wendy, who finally finished healing Zayla. “Ugh, you people need to learn healing magic. I can’t do it all on my own.” Wendy sighed. “Hey, I work in fire. Healing is your department.” A voice next to Wendy chuckled.
“ZAY!!” Scotch cheered as he hugged her. “Hey Scotch.” Zayla chuckled. “So, I never thought I would have to say this. Don’t shoot me. Ever again.” Zayla added, chuckling. “I wont.” Scotch smiled. “Hey, let’s get going. We have a girl to find.” Zayla said as Scotch helped her up.
“Hey, Scotch.” Baccarat started. “What?” Scotch asked. “Thank you for shooting him. Anytime you need me. Give me a call.” Baccarat smiled as she slowly got up, tossing him a beautiful orange and white seashell. “I will.” Scotch smile as they left the mansion.
Once they arrived at the beach they saw Rebecca, Viola, and the other fusion boarding a boat. “Hey! Neighthan!” Parviz yelled. “Oh no.” Viola sighed. “Whats up?” Neighthan asked. “Parviz, you really don’t have to do this.” Viola said. “Oh but there is.” Parviz smirked. “Neighthan.” Parviz started. “I just have to see how this goes.” Avea smirked. “I will not always be there to protect my sister. Meaning that you the next best thing. Anything happens to her, I will make sure you are trampled by a thousand trucks. But then again. You are good guy, and clearly Viola loves you and you love her. Just, take care of my sis. Okay?” Parviz said as Neighthan smiled. “I will. Promise.” Neighthan said as he boarded the boat with the others.
