"'The doctor is in'?" Sherlock chuckled. He lay on his back, hands on his chest, but his head was turned to John. He smiled dumbly, repeating something John had said a few hours ago.

John just turned away and laughed.

"That was by far the worst pun I have ever heard."

"Oh, shut up. It wasn't that bad."

"Still pretty bad."

John snorted, messing up his hair and throwing the covers off. He put on his red underwear and pajama bottoms, heading to the door, "Wake the girls up. I'm having a shower."

The sound of water running echoed through the flat while Sherlock threw on his pajamas and trudged into the girls' room. He knocked twice, as usual, and slowly entered the dark space as they woke up.

It was 10:17 AM on a Saturday morning.

No school.

"Morning, girls. Come on out for breakfast, I got some of the cereal you like."

The girls, still in their fleece pajamas, shuffled out. Amanda yawned and rubbed her eyes, Gina bounced up and down like a bunny rabbit.

The shower stopped, and noise could be heard in the bathroom as John got his clothes on and brushed his teeth. Sherlock fixed Gina and Amanda bowls of cereal, and they ate on the couch while watching morning cartoons.

John sauntered into the sitting room, wearing his usual red housecoat. His hair was wet and spiky, making him look like a hedgehog.

He looked adorable.

"Morning," he reached up to give Sherlock a peck on the cheek, and then went to give the girls each a kiss on the forehead. Gina squirmed, giggling when he did so, and Amanda was captured by the cartoon, so she hardly noticed. She shoved a big spoonful of cereal in he mouth, making her look like a chipmunk.

Sherlock laughed. It was quite funny how many animals there were in this family.

John fixed himself some toast, biting into it loudly. When he finished, he stated, mouth full of food, "Well, I'm off to the clinic."

John hurried into the room to put on his red blouse and some black jeans. He wore his usual jacket, and could still hear the cartoons playing as he went to open the door and go.

Sherlock hurried down the stairs to say goodbye to his John. As the doctor swung open the door, he grabbed Sherlock's forearm and whispered, "Eat something."

With that, he left for the clinic.

Sherlock trudged up the stairs and chose to eat some toast, like John. Easy to make, even for Sherlock.

"Daddy Sherlock," Gina said in a pleading voice.

"Mm-hmm?" Sherlock said, taking the bowl from her and Amanda's hands and placing them in the sink.

"Can we go somewhere fun? Like...The hospital! The morgue! We can see Molly and her dead bodies!"

Sherlock chuckled, "Sure. Go get dressed, and brush your teeth."

They nodded excitedly and rushed off. By the time Sherlock had finished his toast and was getting dressed, he could hear the water running as they did their teeth.

"Okay, let's go!" Sherlock swung on his trench coat and scarf, and the girls put their own jackets on.

Sherlock led them out to hail a cab. The girls could hardly contain their excitement as they rolled up to St. Bart's.

Sherlock threw the cabbie some money and led the bouncing girls to where Molly works.

"They want to see a dead body," Sherlock informed as he crashed through the door. Molly was bent over one, examining it and writing things down on a clipboard.
