"What a day today!" I sighed heavily and threw myself on the bed.
The day at lesson had been pretty much hectic. From getting so late to class, to Benjamin's cold reply when I greeted him, to how I felt when he did it and for all that just happened today in lesson. Quite stressful!
"Ruby, you're back!" Rachel squealed, walking to my bed.
I rolled my eyes at her. I was kinda still mad at her for not waking me up. But trust me, I'd pass.
"Guess what!" She sounded very much excited, which instigated my interest.
I got up abruptly from my bed and stayed in a sitting position as she also sat beside me. "What?"
"Common, guess!" She was smiling broadly. Bet she was super doper excited about something which I wasn't aware of but was sure to find out now.
"Rachel, you know I'm not good at guessing." I said, impatiently.
"Okay..okay. Well," She started off drawing her words. I could see her eyes already glittering. "Desmond asked me to go with him on a date, tomorrow!" She squealed.
"Huh?" I sounded disappointed, yet confused. "I mean, he already asked you out, so what's the need for a date?"
"It wasn't official. But now, it's official."
"Totally doesn't make any difference neither does it make sense." I blurted out.
"Girl, you've gat not to be jealous. Don't worry, Benjamin would come around someday, just chill babe."
"And who's talking about Benjamin here?!" I spat.
"Girl chill. What's with the attitude?" She looked perplexed.
"Am I overreacting?" I thought. 'Damn you! Of course you are.' My subconscious mind told me.
"Sorry if I behaved in such manner." I said, calmly.
"It's no problem. I know it's jealousy that's doing you. By the way, what's up with you and Benjamin?"
"It's nothing compared to yours."
"Any..growth?"
I let out a chuckle. "Nah." I rolled my eyes. "In fact, I feel it just got worse, if I do say so myself."
"Hmm..wanna talk about it?" She said concerned.
"Sure." I adjusted from my sitting position before I told her all that happened today at lesson. "So, that's it."
"Do you think Benjamin likes you?"
I squinted at her before bursting out in a rage of laughter.
"What's funny?" It was obvious she was as confused as hell.
"Please tell me that was a joke." I said, suppressing my laughter.
She narrowed her eyes before saying, "No. It wasn't."
"Oh." I felt stupid for laughing my ass out for no reason. "Well," my voice dropped. "He obviously doesn't have a crush on me." I said curtly.
There was a split moment of silence before Rachel decided to stand up from my bed and exit the room.
I brought my phone out from my bag ready to chat. I turned on my data connection and clicked on the Facebook icon. As usual, loads of messages were waiting to be responded to. Also, I had a lot of notifications. But there was no time to check all of that now, all I needed to do was to chat, mostly with Benjamin.
