"You know, it's still so surprising how we've been friends for like two weeks and some days now, yet we don't have each other's contact." Benjamin smiled amusedly, facing me squarely.

It was a day after Benjamin apologized to me over the phone and I intentionally but happily ignored the message. I needed him to apologise in person and not over the phone, and I bet he had an inkling on what I did, because he actually did apologise to me. In fact, that was the first thing he did when he approached me this morning.

We were sitting together. Chuka and Faith hadn't arrived yet neither had a teacher.

I squinted at him. "And that's true." I stated in realization.

"So let me be the perfect gentle man and ask for Ruby's contact, right?" He smirked at me, making him look devilishly hot.

I hit him on the shoulder a little and giggled. "You are not serious. You know, it didn't even cross my mind to exchange contact with you, I just felt 'Facebook was the thing'." I placed my hands in quote.

"Haha," He smiled genuinely. Did I mention? My crush for Benjamin was skyrocketing. I began to imagine him a different way - like he was my boyfriend. I wondered if he felt the same way I did.

"I don't just want to chat with you over the phone, I want to also call to hear your voice." He added nonchalantly, however, I read a lot to what he just said.

"Okay." I shoved my thoughts off.

I handed him my phone and he did too.

"Uh...I can't operate this." I pointed to his iPhone 8 plus.

"Oh." He typed his number on my phone and handed it to me. After which, he collected his phone from me and asked me of my number, I told him and he typed it.

"Benjamin, what about Chuka, isn't he coming today?" I scanned the class to see if I could see him anywhere, but I didn't.

Chuka and Faith hadn't come yet, which was kinda surprising. Not like I missed them or was bothered about it, but it was already getting too late and for someone like Chuka, he ought to be in class now. Speaking of which, no teacher had entered the class either. What was happening today?

"He isn't." Benjamin answered my question. "He called me to tell me that his mum and him are going out today." He added, answering the next question I would have asked.

"Ok—."

"Hey, Benji!" I was interrupted by a females voice. We both snapped our heads to look at who called Benjamin. We spotted Faith walking towards our direction, giving a heartwarming smile.

"Benji, how are you?" She asked immediately she got to our desk, with a genuine smile plastered on her lips.

"I'm fine and you?" He replied smiling broadly at her.

"Very well thank you." She formed an America accent, looking squarely at him not sparing a glance at me.

I later realised she hadn't spared me a glance throughout since she got here neither had she said a word to me. She literally disregarded me. But why?
