"Can we be friends?" He finally spat out.

Disappointment wouldn't be the word to describe how I felt at the moment. I was silently dying. I least expected what he uttered to me.
"Huh?" My mouth was left in agape. Knowing how funny I looked at the moment, he chuckled huskily.
"What? It's not funny!" I sounded angry which made him look at me seriously. "After I expected something else and here you are throwing this to my face?!" I snapped at him. Okay, the look on his face was priceless and why was I barking?
"I'm sorry?" He looked stinkily gorgeous in his confused state. Pardon the word 'gorgeous', but I just couldn't place the right word on how he looked at the moment.
"Yeah, you should be!" I spat.
"What's wrong with you?" He accentuated every word, which made him sound feminine.
"What's wrong with me? I should be asking you that, what's freaking wrong with me?!" I threw my hands into the air.
And that said, there was a huge wrath of silence. He sighed before saying, "I'm sorry if I got you angry with my question." He said calmly, and that struck me hard in the chest which left me dumbstruck.
"I'd j..just, I'd just leave." And that was how he left without sparing a glance.
Realisation hit me that I had messed up big time. But what was the reason for me flaring up. I should have just grabbed the opportunity of being friends with me, but no, I let it pass me. Probably, I scared him away and he would never want to see my face not to talk of speaking with me. Dang it!
Break time was over and everyone started marching in. Trust me, I didn't have the liver to look at Benjamin. I was embarrassed, totally.
-------
Me: Benjamin, I'm so sorry about my outburst earlier today.
I sent him the message immediately I got back home. I didn't even pull my clothes off or lay down on the bed. All I was concerned about was Benjamin.
Although, he wasn't online when I sent him the message, but I trust he would see it and hopefully reply.
I pulled my clothes off and went straight to shower before changing into clean clothes. I dawdled down stairs and went straight to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. No one was home except me and luckily, there was power supply.
I walked down to the living room and switched on the TV, before devouring my lunch. It wasn't more than twenty minute before Rachel and...oh my God, Desmond strolled in.
"Hey Ru..." Rachel started to say before I disrespectfully cut her off.
"Desmond!" I was surprised.
"Uh..hey." From the way he sounded and looked, I could tell he was a shy type. He smiled and waved shyly.
"What brings you here?"
"Huh..hello?!" Rachel made a duh gesture. "He is with me!"
I let out an 'o' sound. "Wait, did you know I was around?"
"Well, you are around and..."
"Did you think I was going to be around?" I laid emphasis on the word 'think.'
"Actually, no. But..."
"But you weren't going to have sex." I completed whatever she had to say, smiling mischievously.
