It was a clear night, Violet McCall was studying in her room quietly. Having just returned from her run and taken a shower, she was having a peaceful night. That is, until her phone chimed.

It had been almost three weeks since the Winter Formal, Stiles' love confession, Lydia getting bitten, and Derek killing Peter. Weird enough, that all happened in one night. And Allison found out that Scott was a werewolf.

New message from "Stiles 👀":

Needless to say that things had been awkward between the two. Violet now biked to school and avoided Stiles in most classes. The text had been the first time they'd spoken since the night Peter had been burned and slashed. Now Stiles had lived up to his fake crush and had spent the entire weekend at the hospital looking after Lydia.

New message from "Violet":

After she pressed send, Violet slipped her shoes on and biked over to Beacon Hills memorial like she had done so many times before.

Police cars and officers swarmed the area, it was most likely why Stiles had called her over. Violet hopped into an elevator and went to the floor where Lydia's room was. She was stopped by a deputy upon her departure from the elevator.

"I'm Melissa McCall's daughter. She's Lydia's nurse?" Violet tried, only to be turned down by the deputy when a voice called down the hallway, it was the sheriff.

"Hey, she's good. Let her through!" the sheriff's voice said as he approached Violet at the end of the hallway.

"He must be new." Violet chuckled, to which the sheriff agreed and said that the deputy was new.

"His name's Parrish. He's a nice guy though And you're not supposed to be here." The sheriff said.

Violet gave a shrug, "Stiles called me." the sheriff gave her a grim smile as they walked to Lydia's room. As they made small talk, the two walked past some hospital crew cleaning up a fallen vending machine. Violet rolled her eyes, knowing it was definitely Stiles who had made it fall.

Stiles spotted her first, coming towards her quickly. Violet couldn't even get so much as a hello through before Stiles started bombarding her with what had happened, "We don't know much yet but Lydia's missing." He finished.
