CHAPTER THIRTEEN SECOND THOUGHTS
✦✧✦✧✦
Violet went to class. Allison said they would talk to Jackson during lunch, and since lunch was only fifth period, Violet had nothing better to do than go to class. Sitting down in her seat, Violet turned and saw a familiar head of hair. Isaac's.
"Isaac?" she said, confused, "you're not in this class."
"I changed it." he said simply. "To be with you, my love."
She furrowed her eyebrows before pulling her textbook out of her backpack, "Nursing?"
"Yeah, I wanna know what's gonna happen to me in the hospital in case anything bad happens to me."
"Nothing bad is gonna happen to you," Violet said before leaning closer to him and whispering, "you're a werewolf."
"Are you breaking up with me?" Isaac asked. Violet threw Isaac a look. One as if to say "what?" And that was just what she said.
"What are you talking about?" She asked a little too loudly.
"Miss McCall." the teacher warned.
Violet muttered an apology to her teacher before asking to go to the bathroom. She exited the classroom and waited for Isaac to come outside behind her, which she knew he would do.
Soon enough, Isaac was face to face with Violet and he asked her what was wrong.
Violet retaliated, "What's with the clinginess lately? For the past week and a half you've been distant and now all of a sudden you're all over me. Isaac, make a decision."
"I just wanted to be the boyfriend you deserve." Isaac said softly. Violet scoffed.
"Don't even get me started on 'the boyfriend I deserve'."
"I'm sorry. Truly. Tell you what: I can get us tickets to the rave that's coming up. If you want to be my date, that is." Isaac proposed.
"It's just a rave, right? No werewolf-slash-Kanima stuff involved?" Violet asked cautiously.
"Nope. I promise. I have the tickets right here." Isaac said, pulling two tickets out of his back pocket. "Let's go out tonight."
"I can't." she sighed after almost saying yes. Among not being able to hang out with Scott and Stiles, Violet wasn't allowed to go out either—not with Isaac, at least—not until Mama McCall made her judgments. "The rave too. I'm grounded."
"You? Grounded? That'll be the day." Isaac chuckled.
Violet laughed awkwardly at his comment. Now that she thought about it, it was probably the first time Violet had been grounded in her life.
Someone turned the corner in the hallway near Isaac and Violet. Their rushing footsteps alerting the young couple to look up. It was Stiles.
"Vi, can I talk to you?" he paused, eyeing Isaac, "alone?"
