Riding the Wind -- INCOMPLETE

Squirrel

I was practically glowing in the morning because it was Saturday, my favorite day of the week. I am going to put my plan into motion! This was gunna be great. Okay, soooo. My plan is I'll challenge him to another bet, which he'll get all cocky on me, and instead of Misty, I'll ride the quarterback that I.. Uh.. Sorta tamed. I don't care if I fall off, I've fallen off enough times already and last night was amazing! Okay, gotta get ready.

Once I was all ready, I climbed down the stairs to see Jace's horse in his stall.

"I'm gunna beat you Jace!" I said to myself.

I didn't have anything against his horse so I went to the tack room and got a carrot for him. I looked at his halter and it said KINGSTON in fancy letters.

I rolled my eyes at the name, then gave Kingston the carrot. I walked over to the brilliant quarterback, but she hadn't noticed me yet. I looked to see what she was doing, when a Squirrel running up the tree, but it lost its footing and started to fall. The quarterback saw and caught it on her back!

"Wow, that's something else." I said slowly coming into her view.

I scared the squirrel off her back and she whipped her head around to see me. I smiled at her.

"I think your name is Squirrel." I said giggling a little bit.

She looked at me a little startled, but I think I just had to earn her trust a bit more. Only then would she completely trust me. I decided to take her on a trail ride, that would let her trust me a bit better!
