Chapter 36

5 weeks later

Chris P.O.V

I woke up in a pretty good mood knowing that my beautiful wife was laying next to me.I took my phone off the charger to check my messages. I scrolled through my messages to see if anything new had come up but there wasn’t anything besides the normal stuff.Such as fans asking for pictures of Melo and people wanting Zoe,Melo and myself on the cover of their magazine. I mean I wouldn’t have a problem with it but Zoe doesn’t want anyone besides family and very close friends to have pictures of Melo.She says she wants him to have a normal childhood as possible which is understandable for now. After I finished checking my messages I heard Melo crying in the other room.

“I’m coming”Zoe mumbled as she was about to get out of bed.

“Nah bae I got it go back to sleep”I said as  I kissed  her on the head then  got of the bed and walked into the nursery, Zoe’s parents had added on to their house for Melo. 

When I walked into the nursery, I glanced over at the little mickey mouse clock that was sitting on the dresser  next to the bottle warmer and noticed it was five thirty  in the morning.

“Damn I ain’t think it was that early”I said to myself as I walked over to pick Melo up out of his bassinet that was placed in the middle of the blue and brown room.

“Good Morning little man”I said as I picked him up out of his bed. Seeing his face just made me happy.Anytime I would pick him up he would just smile. “Before we go downstairs and eat lets get this wet diaper off of you first”I added as I laid him down on the changing table.

“Melo one day you’ll be able to go to the bathroom on your own”I said as reached underneath the changing table and grabbed  him a new diaper and some wipes.

“No golden showers today please you got me last night save one for mommy”I laughed as I unfastened his dirty diaper and put it in the disposable next to the changing table. Then I began to wipe in between his legs and butt until he didn’t smell like pee anymore.

“Were you dreaming about the pretty girls again that’s why you are so excited”I asked as I lifted him up and slid his new diaper up under him.Then I pulled the tabs back on the clean diaper and fastened it .He just looked at me then looked away.

“Don’t worry Melo you’re not alone Mommy gets Daddy excited just like the girls get you excited in your dreams”I laughed as I snapped his Blue Black Pyramid onesie between his legs.

“Now we can go eat and watch cartoons”I said as I cleaned my hands with the hand sanitizers that was sitting on top of the dresser.

After I cleaned my hand, I picked him up off the changing table and carried him down stairs to the kitchen.

“Good Morning”Zana said as she walked into the kitchen

“Goodmorning Z”I said as I looked at Melo to make sure he was okay  in his rocking chair “Why are you up so early”I added

“Goodmorning”She said as she grabbed a bowl out of the cabinet and spoon from out of the draw  “I heard Melo crying I was going to come get him but you got to him before I did”She added as she grabbed a box of cereal out of the cabinet and made herself something to eat.

“Look at you being a good auntie”I said as I fixed Melo bottle

“Yeah I try my best”She said as she sat down next to me at the table

“You are doing a wonder job”I said before I stuffed my mouth a spoon full  of fruity pebbles.

“Thanks Chris that means a lot”She said as she glanced over at me and smiled
