snow

─── ・ *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

a flake of snow descends down from the dense clouds being formed into a big one. a set of snowflakes starts to fall down covering the ground like a blanket with its white hue.

jaerin walks along the white covered pavements. palms clenched into her peach coat, a formidable look paints across her face — eyes glimmering with determination as she moves her sturdy legs to the bright building ahead.

the clamoring atmosphere around the train station fills her ears the minute she steps her legs into the building. a smile creeps through her lips as she walks to the railway platform.

her phone rings twice but she ignores it, shrugging it off like it never happens.

her patience comes to a breaking point as her phone starts to emit its sonorous sound from its speaker once again. her fingers finds its way to go deep inside her pocket, reaching her phone and muting the ringtone.

she feels the vibration coming out from her phone and she decides to reach her phone, checking who it was that's been disturbing her.

jaerin sighs, seeing the id's name on the screen, "not now," she says, her tone languid.

she declines the call. denying to talk to the person and decides to simply surprise him when she finally gets there.

the train stops its wheels precisely in the platform. numerous of people pushing their bodies to get into the train in a hustle, being concerned of the countdown.

she chooses a seat far from anyone else in the train — wanting some peace to herself, to clear her plethoric mind.

jaerin observes the night sky from the windowsills, observing it thoroughly and being amused of how ethereally beautiful it is that the stars burns its own gas to shine the dark space with the moon complementing it.

not even for once has jaerin regretted her choice of being an astronomer. for being one of the most respected astronomer as people believed that she was a gift given from the heavens.

the fact that she managed to complete her studies at a very young age, earning her ph.d at the age of twenty-four.

jaerin never wonders how remarkable or even incredible it is that she could earn that degree. it was purely hard work and a mountainous amount of determination that has helped her to achieve it.

it's her life's dream to become one ever since her dad bought her first telescope at the young age of seven, since then she vowed to herself that she would find the patterns that the stars have once shown her.

jaerin heaves a soft breath and a slight feel of paranoia dawns onto her, she feels a little bit unease of waiting this train to arrive to its destination.

the supernova that she's been waiting for more than a year has finally reach its end of being a star.

and she surely hope that the day where she would eventually stop from being one wouldn't come near to the present.
