a long time─── ・ *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
jaerin walks along the cement pavements, trailing down the streets as she keeps going with her mind. the mental map she has in her mind is the one that keeps her in her steady legs.
a grin creeps through her face as she walks pass a playground in the neighborhood.
flashes of memories whirls through her eyes as she remembers her childhood, playing with her best friend in the sandbox — building sandcastles together. a classic occurrence of childhood that she luckily took part in.
it's clear enough for her to realize that their distance apart was tearing her, both mentally and physically.
she hates it. she hates the fact that she has to go for boarding school at the age of nine. her times where she should be spending it mostly with her family was gone within fractions of time passes under her very own eyes.
and now knowing that she would eventually meet him was actually more than enough for her to lose control of her mind, her conscience.
the scenarios that she's been planning. the ways for her to talk to him, she couldn't think of anything other than that.
puffing her breath heftily, she decides to shrug it off. thinking that to overthink about anything related to that would stress her even more, but that plan failed when she tilted her head up — looking forward to the house in-front of her.
screw this.
she presses the doorbell twice. nervousness and excitement trudging her at the same time. jaein shakes her wobbly hands in the air out of pure agitation.
her heart beats its muscle rapidly, contracting with the speed — sending a lot more blood for her brain to think, to solve the scenario that has been bugging her since she stepped her foots in daegu.
footsteps are now loud enough for her ears to receive the low-pitched sound — cold beads of perspiration rolls down her forehead, wiping it of with the back of her palms.
"jaerin?" the man faltered in his own steps, seeing the person in-front of him.
he simply couldn't believe his own eyes.
her heart beats even more seeing his features. his slightly curled black hair, those doe eyes that she has remembered for most of her life.
the little nose with a slight of cherry tint painting on it, his thin lips slowly forming into a subtle smile.
all she wanted was to meet her own brother after being separated for more than a decade.
"long time no see."
