“Abby-“ Luke said, barging into Abbys room, he was unaware that she had just had a shower and wasn’t clothed therefore as soon as he entered he was greeted with her naked body
“Luke, ugh” Abby grabbed the nearest sheet to her and pulled it around her body before turning around to face Luke, they had both gone bright red in the face “W-What did you want?”
“Oh um” He blushed and turned away so he faced outside of the room and so Abby didn’t have to see his bright red face, he felt so embarrassed and stupid “T-The boys wondered if you wanted to come out to dinner with us to celebrate being home?” Luke muttered
Abby felt better talking to his back “You don’t exactly want me there” She said plainly, this was true even though she hated it, If they weren’t faking a relationship, Luke would love to have her there but they were and he hated even seeing her because of it, He would much rather be stuck in the friendzone than pretend to be in a relationship
“That’s a lie” He muttered, he didn’t really know what he felt towards her anymore, ever since he got back from tour, there’s been a better connection between you two but at the same time that makes everything worst because they knew it would be harder to leave when the time comes
“So you want to pretend to be a cute couple in front of your best mates?” Abby asked, raising her eyebrows at his back, Luke had never wanted to lie to his band mates and she didn’t really know why he was inviting her to dinner when they normally try to spend the least amount of time possible together
“No, I want to tell them the truth” Luke stated and the room was more quiet than ever, the truth seemed to be the biggest silence
“We can’t” Abby argued, breaking the awkward silence, of course she wanted to tell everyone the truth but if she did, everyone would hate her, they would never respect her again and everything they have been through – the cuts on her wrists – would be for nothing.
“Well at least let me treat you to dinner?” Luke said, he was embarrassed about the whole situation but for some weird reason, he wanted to flaunt Abby off as his girlfriend to the public, this was the first time since the fake relationship began
“Why would you do that?” Abby frowned, she was so confused about what Luke felt, sometimes he would ignore her – she didn’t realize this was because he wanted to distance himself so when they do have to break up, it wouldn’t hurt that much – and other times, he would always want to be with her
He chuckled a little to himself at how stupid he was going to sound “Because I missed you while I was on tour” He said, he was glad he wasn’t looking you in the eye because he felt stupid for saying it, he was pretty sure she was having the time of her life without him holding her back
“I missed you too” Abby said to his back, she felt happy she didn’t have to say it straight to his face, she preferred talking to his back because she could be more honest – she was just happy to know the feeling was mutual
“Well get dressed” Luke managed a nervous laugh and so did Abby, the memory of him walking in on you naked was now awkwardly funny “Me and the boys will be waiting for you” He said before closing the door behind him before going to find the boys, Abby sighed in relief as the door closed, she didn’t know what to think of the whole situation
