Day Two

The next day I enter the beginner training room and Draco tells me to follow him outside. We go out into the courtyard and I'm amazed by the number of drones flying around.

"Wow, what is this?" I ask.

"The drone sanctuary. There's always one member of each group that creates drones. Here is where they can practice and touch them up a bit. Drone makers are barely ever in the actual office."

"Who is our group's drone maker?"

"Alex, quiet boy, that's why I like him. Only twenty-one. Graduated at sixteen."  I'm shocked, I've seen Alex once before, in the corner of the office, putting together what looked like an engine. I never questioned it. But now the questions filled my mouth.

Ooh, what's that one?

Is that blue one supposed to let out gas?

Which one is Alex's drone?

But I don't ask any of those, instead, I say, "then why are we here?"

He shakes his head, "I got your binder graded and you did very poorly on the drone section." I scratch my head a little bit and he continues, "so I'm here to teach you about the parts of a drone, simple." He walks over to a girl sitting near a table poking screwdrivers and batteries into an odd looking mini rocket. "That looks horrible!"

She looks up with a frightened look on her face. "I don't know what happened! she was going around just fine and then it- it-" the girl broke down into tears and Dave just smiled. (Yes I'm calling him his real name because I realized he's even worse than Draco).

"Well good luck fixing whatever that is!" Dave turns sharply and motions me to follow with a flick of his hand.

You thought

Instead, I go towards the girl and sit by her side. "Hey it's okay, don't listen to that douche bag."

She runs the back of her hand against her nose and pushes her glasses up, "but what he said is true."

"Don't you dare say that! All it needs is a little fixing and your drone will be better than anybody else's, I'm sure of it."

"You really think so?" she says, her tears drying up.

"I know so. By the way, I didn't catch your name."

"Oh right! Electra Watkins, 26 years old. Pretty emotional reck if you haven't caught on," her cheeks blush with embarrassment and she lets out a shy laugh.

"Tia Brown, 26 years old. I'm a new kid in this place."

Electra opened her mouth to say something but was quickly cut off by Dave's high pitched voice. "Chop! Chop! This is no time for chit-chat! You have a test in two weeks about drone functions and you have to start learning now!"

"Gotta go! We should hang out later!"

"For sure!"

She kept working on her drone and I walked away with Dave.

"You really have the most horrible taste of friends."

"Shutup, Dave."

A/N Nobody is reading this story but I'm determined not to give up. Good night to all my nonexistent readers. Hope you have a good day :) Felt lazy so this was a short chapter.
