The Babysitter

Chapter 10

A/n: Ok so I know I haven't been updating and I'm so sorry about that but I'm trying my best to get chapters out for you guys!! But summer is in two months so more chapters will be coming out a lot more for you guys soon I promise!!

•Kaitlyn's POV•
I arrived outside their house and knocked on their door. Thankfully it was Sophia who answered the door and not Joey.
"Hey Soph where's your mom" I smile walking into their house.
"Upstairs still getting ready" she smiled as she closed the door behind me.
"Ok is Kashius up their too" I questioned.
"Oh yeah he's napping right now because Joey tired him out on the swing" she laughed.
I laughed also and then heard that annoying voice behind me.
"I heard my name" I turned around to find Joey standing behind me smirking. Why? I have zero clue.
"Hey Soph why don't you show me your room I've never seen it before" I smile completely ignoring the douche in the room.
"Alright" she smiled as she led me upstairs to her room.
"Ok I might not have known you for that long but I sure as hell know that you don't care about my room so what was that all about?" She asked.
"Nothing just that Joey did something and it pissed me off so I'm kind of ignoring him any chance I get" I answered.
"Oh ok you made it seem like he rapped you or something" she laughed.
"SOPH even though your brother is a true bitch in the flesh I don't think he would ever do that" I laughed as I playfully pushed her shoulder.
She laughed too and replied,
"Ya ya I know I was just joking"

•An hour later•

Everyone left like 45 minutes ago and it's just Kashius and I. He was silently sleeping in his play pen while I watched some Netflix. Suddenly I heard violent banging on the door. They kept banging until Kashius finally woke up and started crying. I picked him up and as I made sure all of the doors were locked and blinds were closed I called Jen.
"Hey Kaitlyn is everything okay?" She asked. Worry in her voice. I bet she could here the banging coming from the background.
"Jen I don't know who is at the door all I know is that they won't stop banging and I'm scared Kashius won't stop crying and I don't know what to do" I said frantically.
"Oh my god oh my god ok honey this is what you're going to do okay? Listen to me."
"Okay I'm listening" I replied.
"You're going to go into my room. Go into the closet. Look behind clothes that are hanging up to your right where you are going to find a secret door. Are you there?"
"Yes yes I'm there" I replied with Kashius still in my arms.
"Okay honey I want you to open that door and crawl inside. You will go about ten feet in where you will find another hidden door with a light switch next to it. I want you to open the door and hit that light switch. A bunch of lights will turn on and you are going to climb through the hole but watch your step because you will find a room. Inside that room is water food and a bed. I want you to stay there and keep Kashius calm until the police or I get there ok?"
"Okay" I respond.
"Alright honey I'm going to go and call them alright I want you to be as quiet as you can so that is whoever gets in can't here you alright?"
"Alright" I respond.
By now I am beyond terrified. I lay Kashius down on the coach and he eventually calms down and falls asleep.

•Ten minutes later•

I heard police sirens about 5 minutes ago but I didn't know if the coast was clear to come out. Eventually I heard policemen yelling from outside Jens room,
"Charlotte Police Department open up." I was about to get out when I realized the guy might be in her room, in her closet, less then 20 feet away from me. Just then I heard the bedroom door burst open and violent foot steps running around the room.
"Closet clear" I hear, and that was my cue to get out. I carefully picked up Kashius and opened the tiny door. I crawled through and opened the other door.
"Here I'm right here" I said.
Two policemen came running in and helped me get out of the tiny hole. I held Kashius close to my chest as they walked me outside and too an ambulance.
"It's just procedure we need you to be checked out before anyone can leave." The paramedics gave me a blanket and took Kashius to check everything. Just as I sat down on the side of the curb Jen and the whole family jumped out of the car. Everyone ran to me and asked where Kashius was. I replied with,
"He's getting checked out by the paramedics. It's procedure"
Jen hugged me and gave me a tight squeeze.
"I don't know how I can repay you" she whispered.
"It's ok the only thing that matters is that we're both safe"
I looked to the right to see the cops putting a guy in a black hoody away in a cop car.
Jen had already ran off to the ambulance to check on Kashius. And so did Soph and Drewski but Joey stayed back and sat down next to me. Suddenly everything that I held in just burst out of me. I broke down in tears as Joey comforted me. I didn't know what would have happened if I hadn't called Jen. And I suddenly fell asleep in Joeys arms.
