Chapter 16

"Wellllll she is pretty hot"
I rolled my eyes and stuck my hand out expectantly. Joey examined my hand with a confused expression hanging from his face.
"Let's go cough it up Birlem" I said. "I'm waitingggg"
"What do you mean Thompson" He questioned.
"30 bucks or I go back over to Brielle and tell her that you're waiting for her at home" I smirked.
"Fine go ahead ... it'll just benefit me in the long run" a disgusted expression came across all of our faces as the thought of Brielle and Joey hooking up popped up into our minds.
I started to count down from 5, taking a step at each number.
"5 ... 4 ... 3 .... 2 ... -  " I was about to turn around when Joey caught my attention.
"FINE fine just get back over here before she sees that we haven't left yet!" He whisper yelled.
I stuck my hand out and toke the money in triumph.
To be honest I was never going to do it. And the reasoning behind it was the fact that ... I like him. And I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it. When we're together ... alone ... it's like he's a totally other different Joey then the one in school. He's a sweet and genuine guy.
"Kaitlyn?" My attention was pulled away from my thoughts and looked to where the voice came from. Joey.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Are you going to sit down?" I noticed everyone was sitting down at the table joking around and I was still standing.
"Yeah" I smiled. He patted the seat next to him and a slight blush spread across my cheeks. I took a seat and felt mine and Joey's hands brush up against each other's. He both looked at each other as I felt Joey intertwine his hand with mine.
