Mike's POV
I sat at the table eating my food, and socializing with the others. They all talked and I wished it never had to end. However food slowly disappeared from each persons plate. Soon people started to excuse themselves from the table. I was the last to leave the kitchen, I look back at it one more time before I leave. I slowly begin to slowly wander around the large house, figuring out the layout of the place. I find random rooms placed in no sort of organization. Whoever built this place must have been insane. After a while, I realized that I have no clue where I am. So after about a hour of pointless wandering I find the stairs. I climb the stairs and take a left. I find my new room and sit down on the bed.
I begin to search my room trying to see what I had. He searched through the cabinets in the room and found a bunch of VHS tapes that seemed to contain old movies. I searched around my room and found a VHS player. However the room I was in had no TV to play these unknown tapes. I leave my small room and search around the house for a while. I went into a basement and find a sea of junk. I look through it all and find a small TV. I pick up the small TV, walking back to the stairs. I get lost in the repeating and insane house, and finally find the stairs after what felt like hours. I walked to my small room in the left corner of the upper floor. I pull the handle down with my foot and push it open. The door hits the wall lightly as I walk in and set the TV on the small table. I plug the TV into an outlet, and switch it on. I close the door, and plug in the last ingredient to watching a movie. The TV, luckily, had a outlet that supports the VHS. I slip the tape into the player and watch as the static clears.
The movie opens with a man tied to a chair. After five minutes a tall slender person walks into frame. It pushes a little cart to the man that's tied to the chair. It loudly asks, "So, you're finally awake. I've been waiting for some time. If you're well rested why not answer my question, where did you see her?" The voice was gravely and intimidating. "Who is she?" The man tied to the chair says, his voice was hoarse. "The women with tentacles coming out of her back. She has a pale mask on. Where is she?" The man tied to the chair thinks for a minute until he says, "In the northern parts in the forest. She was around in that area." The man smiles and says, "Thank you for your honorable service to this world." The tall man pulls a revolver out of his holster and held it up to the other guys head. The guy on the chair screams, he starts to ask why. The man coldly stares at the guy on the chair hearing his pleas. He pulls the trigger, as the footage cuts out I hear a loud bang.
I blankly stared at the static on the screen. I had to process what just happened. The door of my room opened and a figure walk in, "What were you watching Mike." Says the calm soothing voice of Slenda. I ejected the tape and handed it to her. She looks at the tape and then at me. "Where did you find this?" She asks. I point to cupboard on the left side of the room. Slenda looks at the tape, and snaps it in half. I look at the shattered pieces of plastic that lay on the floor. I look up at her and ask, "Who was that?" Slenda looked at the blank screen and says, "That is what we call a hunter. Hunters hunt down us terrifying 'demons' to cleanse the world of suffering." I look down and ask, "Are there more of you guys?" Slenda looks down at me and says, "Yeah, there are more of us. They live in different places, but they all have a little 'team' they live with." I nod and ask one last question, "Are the other tapes normal movies or are they more interrogations?" Slenda looks at the other tapes and says, "They're normal." I smile at her and stand up. I switch off the TV and look back at Slenda. "Your voice is comforting. Thanks for calming me down." Slenda looks down at me and pulls me into a short hug. I'm a little shorter than her, by a little I mean like three quarters of a foot shorter than her.
Slenda let's go of me and walks off. I leave my room and try and find someone to talk to. I walk down the halls slowly until I'm forcefully pulled into a room. I land on the floor and look up at my attacker. Benny smiles at me and I smile back. "Well hello there Mike. Would you like to play some video games with me?" I chuckle lightly at her and say, "Yeah that would be nice." We sit down in front of her TV and she turns on a game I've only played once. Bioshock Infinite pops onto screen (Yeah I'm using Bioshock. If you have seen my name you'd probably know why). The games single player but we switch off every now and again. We laugh, talk, and scream at intense battles. All was right in the world until a loud bell made Benny turn off the TV and leave her room. I followed her to the kitchen where everyone else was seated. Benny sits on a chair, while I lean on a wall. Slenda hands pictures out to everyone and keeps one for herself. Everyone stands up to leave but Slenda says, "Jess I would like a word with you and Mike." Jess sits back down. When everyone has left she says, "Jess I want you to take Mike with you." Jess screams, "WHAT?" I flinched at her sudden scream. I then asked Slenda, "Why are you doing this?" She looks at me and says, "Well, I don't entirely trust you to stay in the the house at the moment. So I'm making Jess take you on her mission." Jess looks up at her and asks, "Why'd you choose me?" Slenda calmly responded with, "You Guys need some bonding time. So that's why." She sounds like a parent telling her kid that they need to bond with their sibling that they hate. "No more questions go." Slenda then disappears. Jess sighs and says, "Come on rat let's go." We both walk out of the house to go on her "mission."

The VHS tape will have some purpose in the next chapter. Goodbye and have a nice day.
