Mike's POV
The radio crackles silently as I drive the others across the whole country. In the seat next to me was Clocky. She fiddled with the radio for a couple of minutes, until she found some old country music. I chuckled at the choice of music, but continued driving silently. I look at my rear view mirror. I see the other three girls checking up on the still unconscious Slenda. I tap the steering wheel lightly as the music plays lightly from the radio. I turn from the rear view mirror and look back at the road. The guitar rings through the speakers and I start humming to the song. "Shit." I hear Clocky say. I turn towards her and ask, "What's wrong?" She simply turns towards me and says, "Look." She points behind us, and I slowly turn to it. My eyes widen once I see a man standing up out of a heavily armored car with a grenade launcher. Clocky rolls down her window and fires at the car. In retaliation the soldiers in the car fire wildly firing back, landing a couple of shots into the tires. The back left tire pops and the car loses control. I try to get back in control of the car, while the man with the grenade launcher fires through the window of the car. The country music plays loudly as I grab the grenade and throw it out Clocky's window. With a little time left the grenade, luckily, blew up directly underneath the armored car. The armored car loses control and it drives off the road, fire engulfs the car as it drives into the forest. I hear a loud bang right in front of my car, and I snap my gaze forward and see that I drove onto some train tracks. Before I could react and get off the tracks, and I felt the train smash into the side of the car. It pushed us around for a minute, until it throw us off the tracks. We tumbled off the tracks and landed in a ditch in the middle of the forest. I struggle to stay conscious for a few minutes, but I give up and surrender to sleep.
I stay in infinite darkness for a minute. But my vision comes back for a minute, and see the girls trying to pull me out of the wreak. "Shit. Guys, they're coming" Jess's voice echos in Mike's head. The girls turn towards the hunters, and reluctantly run with a still unconscious Slenda. I close my eyes again, and drift into unconsciousness.
Third Person
Mike slowly regains consciousness and finds himself stuck in the wreak of a car. Mike looks around and finds his rifle gone. The only thing he has left was his revolver. Mike grabs it and searches for a way out of the wreak. He searches around the car and his eyes land on a window. The window is cracked, so without hesitation Mike pulls his gun out, and fires at the window shattering it. Mike climbs towards the open window, and struggles to crawl out. After a minute of pulling himself out of the car, he finally pops out, and slowly regains his strength. Mike looks around to regain his bearings. "Where the hell are we?" Mike asks the voice in his head. "Well, I assume we're in a forest somewhere in North Dakota. But, besides all of that, I have no clue where we are." Alice says. "Ok, so let's figure out where the others are, and then we can think of an escape." Mike says rubbing his chin. "Alright." Alice says.
Mike wanders around for a couple minutes, until he hears someone behind him. Mike finds a place to hide behind a large rock. Mike peeks out from behind the rock and watches as a few soldiers come into view. "I saw someone come through here, so they can't be too far." One soldier says looking at the others. "Okay, so we'll search the area, and find him." The others nod and start walking around, searching the area. Mike watches as one of them come close to his rock. Without hesitation Mike grabs the man and strangled him. The man slowly went unconscious, causing Mike to stop. He lays the man on the floor, and grabs the gun he had. It was a shotgun with tons of shells. Mike peeks out again and watches as the two other men approach his rock. Mike pumps the shotgun, jumps out of cover, and opens fire on the two men. One flies back once the spread shot hits him. The other was about to shoot Mike, but was shot before he could do so. But the shot wasn't from Mike, it was from Jess. She was holding his rifle, with a look of slight surprise. "Hi." Mike says smiling. Jess chuckles and says, "Hi. So we don't have time to chat there's more coming, and we found a place to seek refuge. So come with me." Mike smiles and says, "Alright."
After a few minutes of walking silently through the forest, the two come up on an old abandoned ghost town. "Hey Jess, why were you out of your guys safe place?" Mike asks breaking the silence. "Well, the other three thought you were still alive so they sent me out while they took care of Slenda." Jess says looking back at him. "Well, thanks." Mike says smiling. Jess smiles back and continues walking. Mike looks around the old town, there's a bar right next to a store, with other necessities for a town. While Mike looks around, he hears something. A light rumble rings in his ears, and he looks back. What he saw caused him to start running, grabbing Jess in the process. Mike saw a bunch of soldiers and military cars driving after them. "Shit! They must have followed me here." Mike says still running. "Take a left here and go straight into the first building you see." Jess instructs Mike. Mike dose that and runs into some random building, surrounded by forest.
Mike burst open the door, shutting it behind him. Instantly, Mikes barricades the door with a nearby chair. Mike new it wouldn't hold at all so he looks around and finds a bookshelf. He runs to it and drags it over to the door, replacing the chair with it. With only a second to breathe, Mike gathers his surroundings. It seems he's in an old home. Mike looks towards the girls that sit on the living room couch. Slenda is still unconscious, and Benny's been shot. The others tend to her wounds, and Mike starts to think of a way out. Obviously there's the windows at the back of the house, but if they all leave it'll be extremely obvious that they aren't in the house and the hunters will keep pursuing them. Mike keeps thinking, trying to find a way out. Losing hope an idea surfaces in his mind. "Mike, what do we do?" Jackie asks. "Well, you won't like this idea. But it's all I got." Mike says looking at them. In his head Mike hears Alice speak, "Mike, I know what you're thinking and I don't like that idea. There has to be another way." Mike shakes his head and says, "Jess will you hand me your weapons." Jess weirdly looks at Mike, but obliges handing over Mike's rifle and a pistol. "Now take this." Mike says handing Alice to her. "Mike you NEED to survive, you aren't thinking right." Alice says. Mike responds saying, "Last time I did this, I failed and you landed in the hands of a psychopath. I can't let that happen again." Alice starts speaking but is stopped by Mike when he gives Jess the gun. "Now, what you guys need to do is leave through the back window, run as fast as you can and as far as you can. And don't look back." Mike says seriously. "But what about you? What'll you do?" Jackie asks. "I'll stay here, and hold them off for as long as possible." Mike says. "But, that means you'll be gone again. Out of our lives. I can't let you do this, we can help." Benny says. "No, you can't. Jess Jackie, and Clocky are the only ones that are in good enough condition to fight. You and Slenda are damaged. But I guarantee that if you were in good condition, you could help out."
Mike says. "But why? Why defend psychos like us?" Clocky asks. "My philosophy on life is no matter how terrible everything is, you find something to fight for. Whether it's a toy, a dog, or another human being, I'll defend it with my life. And you guys are worth fighting for. I've been across the whole country just to save you guys, and I will make sure you'll survive. So no more questions just go." Mike says smiling. "Alice's voice rings in his head one last time, "Promise us you'll come back. Please." Mike sighs lightly and says, "I can't keep that promise. But, I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your life." Mike looks over at Jackie, and hands her his rifle asking, "You know how to use this?" Jackie nods and Mike smiles. Mike looks around for some paper and a pen. He finds it, writing a message on the paper. "I have one last request, that you'll give this to Slenda when she wakes up." Mike says finishing his note. "Alright." Clocky says taking the paper. "Good. Now go. Have a good life, and just forget about me." Mike says waving goodbye. The girls say their goodbyes, and leave. Mike turns to the front door and looks out the window next to it. He watches as the small army marches down the road. Mike steps back and pulls out his shotgun. He pumps it and yells, "COME GET ME MOTHERFUCKERS!" Mike smiles and starts laughing.
