Izuku was eating breakfast on the first day, sitting on one hand to keep it warm while he fished cereal out of his bowl with the spoon in the other. He could hear the voice of someone in the common room, - Ashido? - quickly followed by the returning yells of Bakugou. Surprisingly, no blasts followed, which piqued Izuku's curiosity immediately, though he didn't move from his food.

It was all happening behind him, in any case, and on the other side of the shared space, so he wasn't too worried.

"Come on!" Ashido whined, and Izuku could hear the pout in her voice. "We haven't done anything as a group in ages, and it's a Saturday!"

"Like I give a shit, racoon eyes! What is it anyway?"

"Why are you asking if you don't care, Bakugou?" That was Sero's voice, and Izuku finally turned in his seat, curiosity getting the better of him.

Bakugou was surrounded by his usual company (sans Kirishima, who was probably still spiking his hair), Ashido bouncing on the balls of her feet as she held something out in front of her. Izuku couldn't see what it was from his distance, and he definitely wasn't brave enough to close the gap. He sighed, turning around again and propping his cheek on his hand.

Or, he would have, if he didn't immediately recoil at the cold. Izuku frowned at his hand, setting his spoon down and clasping it in the other in an effort to warm it up a little.

It was a cold morning, and he really should have been more aware of it.

Todoroki slid into the seat opposite Izuku, placing down a bowl of miso soup and yawning. His eyes flickered down to Izuku's own breakfast, and he quirked a single eyebrow.

"In this weather?" he asked, and Izuku slinked a little in his seat.

"My mind was on autopilot this morning, I was a little tired." he ended up saying, still trying to warm his hand.

Another yell from the other side of the room, and Izuku gave a slight grin. "Though their noise is certainly a wake up call!" he finished in what he hoped was his usual optimistic tone.

Todoroki looked mildly confused, an expression Izuku was used to seeing from him by now. "What are they arguing about?"

Izuku shrugged. "No idea, but they seem pretty intent on getting Kacchan to join them."

"...Right."

"Pleeeeeaaase, Bakugou?" Ashido was still whining, her words now backed up by her other friends. "Huh, where are you going?"

"To get breakfast, asshole. You got in the way."

Todoroki picked up his spoon, still watching them in his own quiet way. Izuku sighed, shaking his head.

"Just another normal morning." he said.

The sound of their footsteps got louder as they trailed behind Bakugou on his way to the kitchen, and Izuku returned to his cereal.

"Just one round?" Kaminari asked loudly, followed by the sound of him walking into a table. Sero snickered, before breaking off into a surprised ow as he was presumably hit by Kaminari.

"Can I fucking eat, first?"

"Give us your answer, and sure!"

"No." Bakugou leaned against the bench, folding his arms across his chest as he glared at the small gaggle of teenagers surrounding him.

"Aw, Bakugou!" Kirishima's voice was from behind Izuku's back, loud enough that it was clear, but quiet enough that Izuku could tell he was still a little ways away. "C'mon, it was my idea, I asked Mina about it last night!"
