Honestly, Hanta had no idea what he was expecting when the class chose Monopoly to be their next game.
Somehow, he didn't think it would've started as soon as lunch ended, Kirishima parading the box around the common area.
"He sent it over right way!" He cheered, lifting the box over his head.
Bakugou scoffed. "Be careful with that. The box is barely held together by tape as it is."
The monopoly set was indeed an old one, every corner and side taped together, an entire section missing from an edge of the lid. It was slightly yellow with age, a thin layer of dust coating the top. Hanta squinted, tilting his head to the side. If Bakugou's dad collected sets, shouldn't this one be in better condition? Did he not trust his son with a higher quality one?
(Actually, that was a good idea, especially with a class as unpredictable as 1-A. Especially with a quirk like Bakugou's)
Kirishima danced out of the way of Bakugou's swipes, setting the box onto a table and plopping down onto a couch. He patted the spot next to him invitingly, and Bakugou rolled his eyes before sitting down, waiting for everyone else to file into the space.
Uraraka sat down next to Bakugou, Iida taking the final spot on the couch. Midoriya leaned back against Uraraka's feet. Kaminari sat on the arm of the couch next to Kirishima, Ashido claiming the spot by his feet.
Hanta, seeing how crowded the single couch was when there was literally another one right there, opted for the smarter option and sat down, joined by Ojiro, Jirou and Koda.
Everyone else found their own space in a matter of minutes.
"Who's playing first?" Hanta asked over the top of the chatter.
"Yeah, who's playing?"
"I wanna be the dog token!"
"Dibs the money bag!"
"... the top hat."
"Woah, calm down everyone," Yaoyorozou said, creating a board and pen, splitting it into five segments. She paused for a second, before creating twenty little magnets, each hosting a classmate's name. "We're going to draw the names to decide who will play in a moment, if you would all settle so you can hear."
She created a box, dropping all the names inside and shaking it a little.
"Hagakure, would you like to draw the names?"
"Would I!" She said excitedly, jumping from her spot.
That was actually pretty smart, in Hanta's opinion. The girl was invisible. No facial expressions to betray biases.
"Round One will be..." Hagakure started, reaching into the box. Hanta let a nervous grin flit over his face when he glanced between his classmates.
The girls all leant away from Mineta, eyes locked on the magnet Hagakure pulled out in mild terror.
"Kaminari! Next up is... Mineta!"
"There's still a chance for the rest of the group to be—" he was cut off as Jirou slammed the heel of her palm into the base of his skull.
"Shut it." She growled.
"Ahem, the third member," Hagakure giggled, waving the third magnet high above where her head - probably- was. "Is Bakugou!"
He muttered out a long set of expletives, ending with a "fucking grape rat" and sinking down in the couch with his arms crossed over his chest. Hanta did his best to school his expression and avoid snorting out loud.
