"Why wasn't I invited to play?" Mineta asked Saturday morning when everyone was slowly making their way through breakfast half asleep. Their game had lasted well past normal bedtime, neither Yaoyorozu nor Iida having the heart to stop.
Shouto didn't even look up at the accusing tone.
"Are you sure you weren't invited?" Ashido replied.
"I never heard a word of it!" Mineta confirmed, "Nobody offered to let me join!"
"It was an open game, meaning anyone could join," Ashido said. "That invitation extended to you, I'm pretty sure?"
"Then how come the first I'm hearing of it is afterwards?"
Shouto sighed, going back to his breakfast.
"Morning," Uraraka said through a yawn, taking up the seat opposite Shouto. He gave a nod in greeting.
"You kept it a secret from me!"
Uraraka frowned, watching Ashido and Mineta's argument for a moment. "Did he find out?" She asked.
Shouto nodded again. "Looks like it. Did someone tell him or was he snooping?"
Uraraka snorted, covering her mouth with a hand to hide her smile. "You don't like him either?"
"I can tolerate his presence most of the time," Shouto said. "But I don't like how he treats my classmates. Or any woman, actually."
Uraraka shuddered. "You got that right. Mina decided it would be best to not let him play in case he tried any funny business and blamed it on the fast pace of the game."
"Sounds fair."
"Not to him, of course."
"Come on, you gotta let me play tonight!"
"We're not playing Uno tonight, though!" Ashido said, waving her hands about.
"What? Since when?" Kaminari called from a few tables away.
"Kaminari, shush!" Ashido called back, before turning to Mineta. "We're not playing Uno tonight, because we tend to get carried away when we play and it gets in the way of our studies."
"But it's Saturday!" Kaminari called again.
Bakugou placed a hand on the back of Kaminari's head and shoved him back down, narrowly missing planting his face in his food.
"Why not play right after everyone's done eating?" Mineta reasoned.
"Because..." Ashido let the s noise trail on, glancing over Mineta's head to try and make eye contact with anyone else and enlist their help.
Unfortunately, Shouto has been watching her.
"Todoroki!" She cried, pointing at him. "Todoroki, do you want to tell Mineta why we can't play Uno today?"
"Because we've played it three nights this past week," he said with no hesitation. Uraraka started to giggle behind her hand again. "Most of us want to change it up a little."
"Yeah!" Ashido nodded vigorously. "Thank you, Todoroki!"
He lifted a hand, and the argument went on.
"See?"
"So what are you playing, then?"
Shouto decided to keep his head down in case Ashido wanted to prey on another classmate for help.
"Might I suggest Monopoly?" Iida's voice practically boomed from directly behind Shouto. He flinched, and Iida sat next to him. "Sorry," He said in a much quieter tone.
