I wake up the next morning, realizing that it's Thursday, in a sullen mood but the sun has other plans. Rising up a medley of purples, oranges, yellows and reds mock me with their happy colors.

Taking a quick shower to wash my hair, the normal morning routine takes longer based on my mood. I leave my hair down not really in the mood to do anything with it. My outfit for work is the same way. Black leggings, white sleeveless peplum blouse, black Jimmy Choo heel, a black chunky necklace and a small black clutch to hold a few essentials. Everything reflects my mood. Dark. Depressed. I don't know how I'll make it through the day.

You sound pathetic. My conscience sneers at me. You had only been dating for barely three months. What did you expect?  A happily ever after with him being your knight on a stunning white horse? Well news flash, we don't always get what we want.

Life isn't going to make sure that you're never going to get hurt. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows. There will be tornadoes and hurricanes that will rip through to destroy everything that makes you feel happy and complete. You need to quit being a pathetic crybaby, pick yourself up and show up to work with nothing in regard to him.

Skipping breakfast, I head straight to work. When I step foot into my office, I remember that the doctor told Xavier he shouldn't be at work for at least two- three days. In Xavier's terms it means one-two days. I turn on my phone and see that I have 22 missed calls and texts from Xavier along with 7 missed calls from Mason.

Running through his schedule, I notice that I'm going to have to reschedule all his meetings for the rest of the week but I decide to attend all of his meetings today to avoid any extra work. Before I could start anything a knock resonates through the room.

"Yes?" I call out. The door opens to reveal Mason, I sigh in relief.

"Hi Mason." I give him a small smile.

"Hey Aria. I just came to tell you that the party I'm having tomorrow is going to rescheduled."

"When will you be having it?" I ask.

"Next Saturday."

"That sounds good. What's the theme?"

"Black and red."

"Don't tell me it's a Fifty Shades of Grey party." I tease.

"What?! No that's disgusting." He scrunches his nose in disgust.

"I'm not judging how you handle your sex life but don't have a party that refers to it." I give a look of mock disgust.

"Aria! I'm not into that nasty ass shit!" He playfully glares at me.

"Mm-hm." I give him a look of doubt.

"Aria I am not a sadist! I'm not into that. Well spanking I can handle. If she's up for it I mean-" I cut him off.

"Okay, okay! I don't need to hear it!" I raise my hands to my ears to drown him out.
