"It's damn good to see you," Sam said to Steve as he approached the cell he stood inside. The locks were undone and he was able to step out. With a quick embrace, Sam looked around at the other cells in the circular underwater prison. "Taking us all home?"

"Not sure where home is right now, but something like that," Steve said, feeling a sense of normality beside Sam.

"Where'd you keep Bucky and his girl?" Sam asked, assuming that they would all meet in one place before they disappeared among the continents and waited for things with the Accords to die down. Steve hadn't taken long to break them out of the prison, but long enough that Sam knew he had gone somewhere for a few days.

Steve looked at the ground, his head bowing in defeat. The last time Sam had seen that was when he realized he would have to face his friend in Washington, all those years ago. A nervousness filled Sam as he began to feel something was wrong. Deep down he already suspected, but he was running through a chain of alternate endings in his mind. That they ran away, didn't tell him where they were going so that they could live in peace for another two years.

"Steve?" Sam asked. "Say somethin'. Did Stark...?"

"Ophelia's gone."

Sam felt like he had been hit by a truck. The impact of those two words knocked the wind out of him, leaving him breathless and speechless. Knowing their time was limited, and that security beyond the raft had been contacted, Sam tried to formulate some kind of sentence. Only having known Ophelia for a short amount of time and both times in knowing her their lives had been chaos, she still left such an impact. It was what she did, Ophelia, she got under the skin of everyone she got close to. She made them care about her, want to protect her.

"How?" Sam managed, looking up and noticing that others in their cells were starting to get anxious.

"H-" Steve cleared his throat. "Head trauma."

"Shit," Sam muttered. He gestured to the others. "Go on. Let me... take a minute."

Steve nodded, then went to the other cells to break them free.
