Chapter Five
---Josh's P.O.V---
Even though we didn't do much today, we still had so much fun. We are still out on the porch and I feel Katie put her head on my shoulder so I look over and see that she feel asleep. It's funny that she goes to bed so early even though we didn't do much. I have plans for tomorrow and we should have some more fun. I take Katie upstairs to my room because I know that she likes me to be with her. Having her with me during the night helps me too because it helps with my nightmares that I have been having. They have been getting worse but having her here with me helps when I wake up. 'She is so pretty when she sleeps.' I think to myself. I am getting in the bed when I hear her say my name. I look over to see if she had woken up but she is still sleeping. I laugh a little and she smiles.
'I am in the woods and hear laughing. I walk over to the noises and see two people talking and laughing together. The girl turns around and I realize that it is Katie. She is with a mother guy and then they kiss. I feel horrible inside and I don't know what to do. Then all of a sudden he pushes her down and starts to hit her. She starts to cry and I run out of the bushes to try and help her but there is nothing I ca do. It's like I am invisible. I am literally standing in front of her and she is crying. The man brings her into the lake and I think he is going to drown her....'
---Katie's P.O.V---
I wake up to Josh screaming for me and I don't know what to do because he is sleeping. I try to calmly tell him that I am ok and I am here but he won't stop. I shake him and finally he wakes up and fear flashes in his eyes. As he focuses and realizes where he is, he stops and hugs me. "Are you ok?" I ask him. "Ya, just a bad dream." He tells me. "Want to talk about it?" I ask. "No I am fine now that you are here." He says. "I never left and never will." I say truthfully. He nods and wraps his arms around me. I snuggle up to him and we both fall asleep again.
