Chapter six
---Katie's P.O.V---
After last night I am worried for Josh. I don't know why he randomly had those dreams but as long as he doesn't have anymore I am good. I heard that we were going to have picnic in the meadow today. I just realized that I still haven't told Annie that Josh and I are a thing. I hope that she isn't mad because she seemed kinda in to him when we met. I guess that I could call her later. I get up to make breakfast and don't wake up Josh. Then I decide to go for a walk. I feel bad about just leaving him but I put a not out on the counter for when he wakes up. When I finish writing it it reads 'I am going out for a short walk. I made breakfast and it is in the fridge so warm it up when you want it. I have my phone incase you need me. Love you -Katie'. I am very pleased with it and walk out the door.
When I get back home I find Josh eating at the table. He looks like he just woke up because his hair is messy and knowing him he would have combed through it if he had time. "Did you have a nice walk?" He asks. "Great actually I walked down to the beach and back. It was very relaxing." I tell him. "I was thinking that we could start packing for the picnic at 12:00 so when we get there, we will be hungry." He says. "Ya that sounds good. I will get ready at 11:30." I tell him. "Ok good then we have a date!" He says with a smirk. "Ya I guess so!" I mimic his tone and we both start laughing until we are out of breath.
We get into the car and head out to the meadow at 12:30 and we set up everything. It isn't too far from where he lives so it was a quick drive. We are both starving so we hurry to get all of the food out. We are having a great time when all of a sudden Annie appears out if no where. "Umm hey guys.." She say awkwardly. 'Wait what where did she come from and why is she even here?' "Hey Annie!" Josh says oblivious to what is about to happen. "Katie can I talk to you?" Annie asks. 'I called it!' "Sure.. Josh give us a sec."
We walk into the woods a little so Josh won't hear us. Both of us know what is about to go down. "What is up with you and Josh?" She starts off breaking the silence. "Umm well we are kinda dating." I say not wanting to be mean. "I knew something was up between you two! You knew I liked him and that was the only reason I introduced you two! Ugh why Would I have even thought that was a good idea!" She practically screams at me. "I am sorry Annie. Neither of us knew that you liked him and when you introduced us we instantly knew we liked each other. I love him and I don't want anything to happen. I am so sorry I didn't take the hint before." I say "Well this is just great I thought that I would finally have a chance with someone. But no you come in and take that away from me too. Just like everything else! You always destroy me and you think that's fun for me?! Well it's not and I think this time I will actually do something about it!" She yells. 'Did she just threaten me?!' "I am sorry Annie and what do you mean other times?! I did nothing to you! We were always close and I would never do that to you. You don't need to threaten Josh and I. If you try and break us up I don't know what u would do. I thought you were better than that!" I fire back. "Wow rally think that I would just back off like that?! Are you serious? You ruined me. I thought I had a chance! But no you come in and RUIN it." 'Oh my god did she just say that? She is treating me and I hate this! I just want to slap her! Oh gosh did I just say that! I would never do that to her even if I was pissed.' "You know this whole thing is making you crazy. You just threatened me and you are blaming everything on me. If you would just have accepted that Josh and I were together it would have worked out so much better! You were never like this and I never thought that you would do this to your best friends." I say on the verge of tears. "Best friend?!" She comes up to me and shoves me to the ground. "I think not..." Then she leaves me laying on the ground alone, in the woods, crying.
