Chapter One

Lena's POV

I understand why everyone hates me, I hate me. I just don't know how it all started..

*Flashback* (third person POV)

It was the week before Lena and Kara started their first year of high school. They were sitting on Kara's bed laughing, well, Lena fell off of Kara bed and Kara was laughing at her. Well, actually, kara had shoved her playfully and end fell off the bed."haha very funny danvers" lena said and kara helped her up back onto the bed. "come on dork" kara joked and they laid down on kara bed side by side like they had done so many times before. "are you staying again tonight?" kara asked hopeful and turned so she was looking at the luthor who was looking up at the ceiling "yeah, I'm just gonna text lex and get him to tell mom" lena said and sat up, grabbing her phone from kara's nightstand. Alex came into Kara's room without knocking "hey kar can I borrow that red top you bou-" she started but saw lena "oh sorry.. I didn't realize you were here." she said to lena and lena chuckled "came through the window again" lena said simply and put her phone down. Kara got up and grabbed the top Alex wanted "this one?" she asked and Alex nodded, taking her shirt off "awh come on. do you really need to do that in front of us? I'm sure lena doesn't want to see your boobs" kara said. she hated how Alex was so comfortable around lena. she wanted to be the one taking her shirt off in front of lena. even though Alex wasn't doing it in a sexual way it still bothered kara "sorry kar, Maggie's on her way over. you never keep a girl waiting' alex said and winked "also, if you don't want your girlfriend to see my boobs maybe next Time you should cover her eyes" alex said and walked out with a chuckle. "girlfriend? w-what g-girlfriend?" kara looked at lena and lena laughed at how Kara's face was turning into a tomato "I don't have a girlfriend!"

after that they talked and fell asleep. 

*first day of school*

Lena and Kara walked into their new school together. They were immediately approached by three girls with similar hair styles and the same cheer outfit. "hi! are you guys newbies? you look new and in awe." the red head said and lena nodded "awesome! we're looking for new recruits for the cheerleading team and you guys look fit." the blonde on her right said, while the brunette on her left gave them little flyers "tryouts are tomorrow after school at the football field, you should totally come and try out!" the red head said and then they walked away. "lena, we should do it!" kara squealed. lena scoffed and threw out her flyer the girl had given her "no way kara. I'm not going to be some dumb girl making out with a jock after cheering "lets go bulldogs" " lena said rolling her eyes and kara looked down "I want to do it.. and we do everything together Lele"kara said in a lower more upset voice. "sorry kara, not this time. if you want to then go ahead, ill watch. this just isn't me." the luthor said and they walked to their first class in silence.

Kara tried out for cheerleading the next day, and a week later she got a text from the redhead, who she found out at try outs that she was captain, that she made the team. she squealed from excitement and became a cheerleader. "I promise we'll still hang out, after cheer practice and stuff, okay?" kara promised lena, and lena trusted her.

But, Kara and Lena hung out less and less, to the point where they didn't even say hi in the hallways. Without Kara, Lena wasn't forced try new things or do fun stuff so she threw herself into her school work and became the school nerd. 

After a few months, Lena started getting bullied for her glasses, getting good grades etc etc. It started off with a few of the guys from the football team but it spread because they were the popular kids in school. The cheerleading team picked up on it too of course, everyone except for Kara.

*end of flashback*

Oh yeah, thats why. Because you broke a promise and lied.
