chapter twenty five

by the time the graduation was over, it was nearing 5pm. the girls made a reservation a couple weeks ago for a restaurant closer to the pier. they had enough time to get dinner and still have time to get down and onto the boat in time.

"I had no idea you were going to be singing, darling!" lena said to her girlfriend, still getting over the shock. 

kara shrugged "it wasn't that big of a deal. the principal approached me three months ago and asked if I, and a couple other kids could sing at graduation, so, why not, right?"

lena chuckled and shook her head in disbelief. "lets go find Alex and Maggie and go get some food. I'm starving!" 

lena and kara went down to the parking lot and found Alex and Maggie, already in the car. "took you guys long enough!" they teased as the couple hopped into the backseat of the car. as soon as their seatbelts clicked, they were off.

the four girls arrived at the restaurant around 5:30, and got lead to their table once lena spoke up in a professional voice, "table for four, under Lena Luthor, please?"

the small group of girls were lead to a booth in the back the restaurant. the lights were dimmed slightly and the restaurant had fairy lights dangling from the ceilings and walls surrounding them. kara slid into one side of the booth before lena slid in beside her. Alex and Maggie sat across from the couple and they all giggled.

"so they're going to send over a round of Champagne first, and then some appetizers and then we can order drinks and food and all of that," lena explained out, this night being something she had planned a couple weeks previous. 

"well, Alex is already an alcoholic and I cannot drink so..." kara dragged out, making everyone at the table chuckle and Alex to blush. 

"I am NOT an alcoholic!"

"Alex, last year I found not one, not two, but THREE bottles of tequila in your closet, and there was another underneath your bed. also, why did I find a bag of limes with those bottles, too?" the innocent blonde asked, nose scrunching up in confusion. 

both Maggie and Alex blushed, and immediately avoided eye contact as lena bursted out laughing. Kara just grew more confused. "can someone tell me?"

after a moment, lena calmed down and leaned in, and whispered in her girlfriends ear. it took her for a minute to understand, before "oh my god! ewww! that's disgusting oh my god!"

lena burst out laughing once again at the innocent girlfriends reaction, as Maggies lips curled into a sly smirk. 

a couple moments later the waiter came around with a round of champagne for the four of them.   

they all took a glass and toasted, before taking a sip. karas eyes widened "its so.. bubbly!"

lena laughed at her girlfriend "that is its nickname, dear," she mentioned as kara then took another sip. 

the waiter came back a couple minutes later with drinks and took their orders. 

 the four girls enjoyed their dinner and after sharing a slice of pie, it was nearing 8pm. the bill came around and lena insisted on paying. the four of them then headed out to the dock, successfully making it on time. 

lena had an arm draped around Kara's waist as they waited in line to board the boat. they had separated from Maggie and Alex once they arrived at the dock. lena was so excited to be able to spend this night with her girlfriend. she knew that in a little more than a month she would be moving into her dorm room, no longer beside kara like she had been for most of her life. sure, she was scared. terrified, even. for what her moving away would do to her relationship with kara.what if more distance just put more secrets in between them?  terrified that she wouldn't be smart enough to stay. what if she didn't get to see kara enough? what if lena messed everythin-
