The next day they decided to visit Adam in the hospital, the doctors had told them that if he’d had a good night then he could be discharged. The only issue was deciding whose apartment he’d live in until he was well enough, as no one knew where he lived - including Adam himself.

Raoul was the first person to enter the ward he was on; Adam seemed to be slightly happier that she was there. The others closely followed her in a swarm, making the few other patients slightly nervous. Jodie still had a few bruises to his face after the fight yesterday, and Derrick had a small cut on her face from where she had dragged Raoul out of the fight. Levi was untouched; she probably knew some of the gang members and had scared them off.

Adam seemed slightly alarmed by the group of teenagers in front of him.

“Fuck, you never told me you had this many friends.” He muttered to Raoul.

The group laughed a little, and soon they were talking as though they were all old friends.

A bored looking nurse walked over to them.

“Mr Manson?”

“Yeah” Adam answered.

“You can go now.”

Before anyone could answer her, she had spun on her heel and was marching out of the ward, pouting as she went.

“Bitch.” Levi said while scowling at the nurse’s back.

Eventually after a huge debate - and Derrick calling for rock, paper, scissors to decide (a request that everyone ignored) - it was decided that Adam would stay with Derrick, as her apartment was the least broken out of everyone’s’ homes.

Derrick silently panicked at having a guy in her apartment, she’d had boyfriends before but she’d never had one stay at her apartment before, plus it was THE Marilyn Manson!. And it was awkwardly quiet as well, and he kept looking over at her piano too, what happened if he asked her to play?!

“Derrick?”

“Hmm?” She smiled nervously as she turned around.

He pointed at the piano.

“Do you play piano?”

“Yeah, apparently I’m quite good at it.”

“Can you play any of my stuff?”

“I think so” She said with a tiny smile.

She sat and began to sing and play.

“And I don’t want you and I don’t need you,

Don’t bother to resist or I’ll beat you,

It’s not your fault that you’re always wrong,

The weak ones are there to justify the strong,

The beautiful people,

The beautiful people,

It’s all relative to the size of your steeple,

You can’t see the forest for the trees,

You can’t smell your own shit on your knees!

There’s no time to discriminate,

Hate every motherfucker that’s in your way!

Hey!

You!

What do you see?

Something beautiful or something free?

Hey!

You!

Are you trying to be mean?

You live with apes man it’s hard to be clean!

The worms will live in every host,

It’s hard to pick which one they eat the most,

The horrible people, the horrible people,

It’s as anatomic as the size of your steeple,

Capitalism has made it this way,

Old-fashioned fascism will take it away!

Hey!

You!

What do you see?

Something beautiful or something free?

Hey!

You!

Are you trying to be mean?

You live with apes man it’s hard to be clean!

There’s no time to discriminate,

Hate every motherfucker that’s in your way!”

She turned to see Adam sat staring amazed at her.

“W-Was it any good?”

“You’re amazing.”
