AN - Hey Guys! I've been packing, so I'm super busy. This is one of the three part chapter, because I'm so busy. Sorry it's a day late, but I've been suffering from writer's block.
Anyway, dedications.
soccerlover82 is the only dedication.

Chapter 4b: Enemy Turned Friend
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
All tributes were on the bomb plates, like contestants for some horrible show that apparently were popular thousands of years ago. I look around at them, and breath a sigh of relief because there are no tributes that I know, only brief acquaintances.
One little girl, from first grade is crying for her mother. I take pity on her, because she may not make it past the initial bloodbath. She is barely old enough to understand everything that's going on.
Once the girl is quiet enough, DeGoyler explains the Semester Quell "rules". Looking out at the audience, many look shocked because they know
that they might be picked.
DeGoyler first asks the little if any of the three she picked were in her grade, and sure enough, they all were.
He continued this way, and most of the younger kids chose all kids from their grade, except for third and sixth grade.
Now it was my turn, so I whisper into the microphone, "Zack Fisher and Kaylie Mellark".
Now the crowd murmurs to each other, because they know Kaylie.
The girl from eighth grade lied about her friend, so she was blown to one million pieces.
A janitor came out and "cleaned" her up. DeGoyler simply reaped a new girl,
who happens to be my devilish neighbor. Oh joy.
Veronica Mark, my neighbor, picks out her own twin to be her friend or enemy, Victoria Mark. They both give me an evil smirk, and whisper to each other something I can't quite catch.
Ninth grade's turn rolls around, and I'm left praying for the girl to pick Matt, so I don't need to. But she doesn't, so I'm sorta stuck pulling him into the games.
Nothing more dramatic happens throughout the entire process, except one of Kaylie's friend's sister is picked for twelfth grade, but she's a bit of a brat.
"Now," DeGoyler said to the first grader,"This is your team, correct?"
The little girl only nodded, and timidly looked at her team.
DeGoyler asked the second grader the same question.
"Now, sweetheart,"He told the third grader,"Who is the lucky person from another grade?"
"Ma-Mary Sh-Sherwurk,"the girl stammers, her voice cracking.
"Mary Sherwurk", whom I don't know, came up onto the girl's bomb pad.
It continues this way, I praying for someone else to pick Matt, but no one does.
Then it's my turn,"Matt Mayer," My voice says without falter.
