Chapter song: Carmen - by Lana Del Ray
"So...." Stiles began, a devious grin on his face, as we climbed into his jeep after leaving the hospital. "Do you guys want to go to a party?"
I shrugged my shoulders, after what I've been through these past two days; being attacked by a deer and a murder of malicious crows , I think I could use a little fun. I met Scott's gaze, raising my eyebrows in question.
He nodded. "Yeah sure let's go" He told Stiles.
The drive to Stiles' friend's house was not too long, we rode in a comfortable silence. My eyes were glued to the window the entire ride, taking in my new home. Beacon Hills, my new home, was a cute little place. Not to many places to go but that was fine. There was a cute little bowling ally and some weird looking abandoned shopping mall. In the center of the town was a hospital and not to far from that was the high school. The reserve took up the biggest part of the quaint little town.
We pulled up to the house, where the party was being held, music could be heard from the street, the bass almost shaking the house. We all filed out of the jeep and I looked down at my arm. Letting out a small groan I tapped Scott's arm.
"Scott, this shirt is covering in my blood. I can't go in looking like this." I whispered
Scott licked his lips before rushing to the trunk of the car and came back with his lacrosse jersey. "This is all I had in my bag but you can wear it."
I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and took his jersey. "Thanks" I said as I slipped it on over my head and pulled off my shirt underneath it.
Shrugging my shoulders I looked at Scott, "Shall we?"
He chuckled and lead the way. By the time we got into the house Stiles was yelling for some girl named Heather and searching for her though the sea of dancing bodies.
A blonde girl skipped over to him. "Stiles!" She giggled before pulling him in and planting one on him.
They made out for a good minute and a half before the girl peeled herself off of Stiles. She rocked backwards on her heels, licking her lips and smiling up at the boy she had just kissed. She then grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the back of the house.
I let out a breathy laugh and shook my head, "I don't even want to know what they plan to do." I said to Scott.
He laughed in return, "I don't know anyone here, and it reeks of alcohol, so I'm gonna go get some air. Wanna come?" He asked me
I nodded "yeah one second" I pivoted on my heels, and headed towards the back of the house. Once I found the keg I grabbed two red solo cups and filled them with cheap beer before finding Scott outside.
I handed him a cup and sat on the grass close to him and pulled my legs underneath me. I leaned back on my hands and looked up at the stars.
"I have a weird question" I mumbled, after a couple sips of beer.
Scott looked at me, raising his eyebrows "Fire away"
"What's it like being a werewolf?" I asked, picking at the fabric rips in my jeans.
His eyes widen the slightest bit, I can almost see the wheels turning in the back of his head as he thinks of how to answer my strange question. "It's full of surprises that's for sure" he answered "I mean... it's gotten easier with time"
