Chapter song: Wild Thoughts - by DJ Khaled
I woke up the next morning on Lydia's floor next to Allison, while Lydia was sleeping soundly in her king size bed. Memories from last night came spilling in as i sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. Allison came over late last night with a big book of all the supernatural creatures her family had discovered. She watched me change and informed me that i wasn't a were-wolf i was a were-coyote. I know I should probably be more taken aback by this new found information but i'm not shocked. She also informed me of how I was probably born a were-coyote but didn't start physically changing during full moons until I was older.
As time passed Allison and Lydia woke up and we all got ready for the day ahead of us. I checked my phone figuring it was about 10 am, but gasped when I saw what time it really was. It was already 6 pm, how did we possibly sleep in that late?
Chuckling I turned to Lydia, "It 6 pm."
"Is it really?" Allison laughed, applying her last coat of mascara.
"I mean we were up all night." I spoke, throwing my hair into a bun.
"Well, that means there's only one thing we can do." Lydia shrugged, "Breakfast for dinner."
Allison and I both smiled in response, "Sounds swell." I grinned
Our food came surprisingly fast at our neighborhood iHop, it was amazing to me how much fun I was having with these girls. For the first time in my life I finally felt like I fit in somewhere.
Right as the waiter set my steaming plate of pancakes down my phone rang from in the waistband of my leggings.
Sighing as I answered, due to the fact I had to wait to stuff my face.
"Hey?" I said annoyance in my tone.
"Hey Cali, it's Scott, is this a bad time?" He asked sounding worried.
A small smile came to my face once I learned it was him. "No, sorry I was just about to eat. What's up?" I smiled.
I looked up to see both Allison and Lydia staring at me with confused faces. I mouthed 'Scott' to them and for some reason they both grinned and started whispering to each other.
"Anyway, Stiles is busy and my mom needs me to bring her dinner up at the hospital and I don't want to go alone... So do you want to come?" He asked, hopefully.
"Uh- I'm at dinner with Lydia and Allison right now but you can pick me up from the iHop in like 30 minutes." I stated, Dylan O'Brien could have invited me to go somewhere and I still wouldn't leave my chocolate chip pancakes.
"Sounds good, see you then." He said cheerfully from the other end of the phone.
I nodded to myself and ended the call, I returned my phone to where I had found it and was met with the goofy grins of the two girls across from me.
I cocked my head to the side and squinted at them, I shoved a bite of pancake in my mouth as I spoke. "Why are you two looking at me like that?" I asked pointing my fork at the two of them.
Lydia raised her eyebrows, "Just you and Scott."
I shook my head, "There is no 'me and Scott.'" I said, raising my fingers to form air quotes.
Lydia laughed, brushing her red hair off her shoulder, "Stiles told us about the kiss."
I sighed eating more of my pancake. I was kind of hoping that wouldn't get out yet; I still wasn't sure how I even felt about Scott.
