It wasn't easy for Cara to make friends, to everyone else she was a freak. Not even her own brothers wanted to be seen with her.

"People dont want to be my friend, they don't even know I exist "

"Michael wants to be your friend, he's a person"

Her mom just wanted her to do things and be like a normal teenager. she wanted her to do something other than sit around the house all day eating chocolate pudding.

Cara couldn't seem to see this from her mom's point of view though. She liked being alone and when she didn't want to be alone, she had Michael.
