As soon as he saw the photographer getting up, Taehyung whispered to his costar who still had his eyes closed and, most probably, his breath held in.
"Are you okay?"
The moment the older guy's breath tickled on his neck the brunette nearly shrieked as he pushed himself away causing Taehyung to lose balance and bend forward in the younger's feet barely managing to stop his head from hitting the floor since he was leaning on the younger.
When Jungkook looked back to yell he saw Taehyung bowing to him and smirked as he spoke the first thing that came to his mind without understanding what might have actually happened.
"At least you know your place."
The older had yet to lift himself up when he heard those words and he felt his heart twist in pain while the people around them gasped in shock. It was understandable that someone might not be comfortable with working with a queer person but Jungkook was crossing his lines a little too frequently.
At that moment Hoseok entered the room again putting his phone in his pocket when he saw the scene in front of him which made his eyes go as wide as saucers.
"That can't possibly be a pose."
He whispered to himself before tapping a staff member to confirm it. When he heard about his boss's action the pink haired male flamed up but instead of causing a scene he walked up to the director and requested him to end the day there. The older man being wise enough to understand the meaning behind the request agreed without further ado and announced that they were packing up.
Meanwhile Taehyung gulped as he pushed himself up with a fake smile on his face and without making any eye contact with the cocky brunette, made his way to where his belongings were present pretending to be looking for something.
Jungkook didn't bother to ask why was the shooting stopped all of a sudden since he wasn't very comfortable being there in the first place. So, as soon as he heard the orders of closing up, he grinned like a nine years old kid and walked away from the room quickly. His manager was quiet as he followed the brunette but the younger could care less about that. He just wanted to go home and fall on his bed. That's all he was thinking about as they drove in silence before the car suddenly stopped making the younger look at his manager in confusion before a scowl appeared on his face.
"Why did you stop?"
Hoseok looked at his annoyed boss with a harsh glare before gritting out.
"Do you think you're a god?"
The brunette was taken aback by the sudden mood shift because this didn't seem like a jolly banter time. His manager actually looked pissed which the younger never had a chance to witness before in the past two years. Being dumbfounded and a little bit hesitant, Jungkook still went ahead to ask for an explanation.
"What ar-"
But he was cut off with a loud yell that thanks to the closed windows was trapped inside the car to a great extent.
"DO YOU THINK YOU ARE A GOD DAMN GOD, YOU PIECE OF SHIT? HOW DARE YOU TREAT SOMEONE AS IF THEY ARE A LOWLIFE? ARE YOU A HEAVENLY BEING THAT TOUCHING SOMEONE'S HAIR WILL TAINT YOU? ARE YOU THE SON OF A GOD THAT NO HUMAN SHOULD COME CLOSE TO YOU UNLESS YOU ALLOW THEM TO? WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU? THE ANSWER IS 'NOTHING'. IF THOSE PEOPLE REFUSE TO PUT UP WITH YOUR SHIT YOU WOULD BE ROTTING ON THE STREETS. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? YOU ARE NOT AT THIS STAGE JUST BECAUSE YOU LOOK GOOD. YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE THERE ARE KIND HEARTED PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ENDURE YOUR BULLSHIT."
By the time the pink haired male stopped yelling his face was bright red and beads of sweat graced his forehead, his body was shaking with heavy breathing and he was resisting the extreme urge to hit the brat of a boss he had sitting with him.
Meanwhile Jungkook was about to piss himself. He had never faced the situation like this before in which he would be at the receiving end of someone else's wrath. It was always him giving a piece of his mind to the others who would keep their heads low and listen to him before scurrying away on his dismissal order. Today, however, he experienced for the first time what it felt like to be yelled at. Needless to say, he didn't like it at all.
What made it worse for him was the fact that he had nothing against Hoseok to intimidate him or flip the tables. And the cherry on top was the waver his confidence was feeling. The brunette had never considered the fact that if those he was working with cut him off and refused to work with him then what his manager said was right. He wouldn't have been able to reach the peak he had reached till now. This meant that no matter how talented he was, if no one was ready to sponsor him or ask him to work with them he would be a nobody. His looks really didn't matter. So basically, he wasn't famous enough to look down on staff like that. It was the staff that put up with him just to keep him in the spot light because they wanted him to become famous. He was on their mercy and not the other way around.
As the words of his manager sank in and he put two and two together the pride he had began to crumble. What was he so arrogant about? What did he have in the end? If not for his present manager's patience, Jungkook might have been kicked out of the industry because no other person stayed by his side in that position for long. In the end, the only thing that he had was his looks and attitude. And there was no way he could live a life with only those two if he was kicked out.
Hoseok saw the younger deeply reflecting on his actions he had done till now and was glad for once that his loss of temper wasn't for nothing. It would have been a disappointment if it was because the pinkette wasn't the one to become enraged too easily.
Raking his hand through his hair, the older started the car after a deep sigh and loosening his tie while the younger stayed dead silent the entire way. The atmosphere in the vehicle was very suffocating but neither wanted to change it so they drove in silence for an hour before they reached the Jeon residence. Both males got out of the car and walked together towards the main entrance. Jungkook, feeling like a kid for the first time, moved ahead and opened the door for Hoseok out of respect who didn't question it and walked in knowing he would be followed by the younger for sure.
After a while of standing in front of each other like mutes the older considered that this wasn't really the time for him to discuss with the young model about the shoot they just put on postpone, so with a small nod to himself he excused himself. Jungkook most likely needed some time alone to think things through.
"I'll see you later tonight, then? We can go out for dinner, if you like."
The brunette immediately nodded like an obedient child and the pink haired man smiled at him before moving ahead to pat his shoulder and turning to leave. The younger stayed put like a rock as if he was holding his breath as his manager walked towards the exist. Just when he was about to step out, the older turned to look back and spoke.
"Let's be brothers at the dinner, hm?"
