I was a simpleton to have ever thought

erasing you was a possibility.

I have been depicted by history

as a man who has no pride,

a man capable of forgiving too much,

a man with the ability to forget the unforgettable.

I turned a blind eye to the obvious,

but it doesn't mean I am ignorant.

It merely wrote the story

Of a man who had fallen too deep

Of a reality where love and obsession

had become one.

It had become clear to me

that it wasn't what I deserve,

but I was over driven by emotions

and it led me astray.

Nonetheless, I have become immune to the pain.

Tears have become a source of comfort,

Sorrow a chapter in my past

and my heart a mere vessel of emptiness...
