What was it about you
that made me fall so hard
that I'm still struggling to get up?
What was it about you
that made me ignore a perfect sunset,
just to set my eyes on you?
Maybe it was the fact
that you smiled once every blue moon,
which made it so rare
and such a sight to behold.
Maybe it was your eyes, lifeless,
but nevertheless mysterious and alluring.
Maybe it was your mind
and how I was bewildered
and got lost in every thought.
Maybe it was your touch
and the way it sent shivers down my spine
and made me lose my self-control.
It doesn't mater though,
for you were my goddess
and I at your disposal,
worshiping the ground you walked on
and to have been in your presence
was a blessing like no other,
but ultimately it became a bad religion
and I fell from the heaven I once knew...
