Baptism

I beg of you,

please return to me my innocence,

but if not in your will,

baptize me in a flood of ignorance,

for I am a monkey in a man suit,

a fire shining bright,

yet emitting no heat,

a volcano with an abundance of magma,

yet eruptions seems to elude me.

Take me to a sanctuary

so I may find the sanity I once possessed,

a sanity this world stole from me...
