Percy stared at his phone as his body started feeling uncomfortably warm. He could feel himself shaking in fear.

"Percy?" A voice said from behind him and he jumped.

"Woah! Calm down! It's me!" Nico said. Percy blinked before stuttering out that he needed to get to San Francisco as soon as possible. Nico understood bits as the speed at which Percy was talking had long crossed the speed of light.

What he had understood: San Francisco-Annabeth-Robber-Get there fast.

He put his hands on Percy's shoulders and jerked him out of his babble.

"Okay. Hold my hand and do NOT let go." Nico stated as he took Percy's hand. He closed his eyes and pulled Percy into a nearby shadow. They dissolved into it and Percy gasped as darkness engulfed him. He could hear a distant scream and a strong wind hit his face making him cough for air. The only support to his was Nico's hand. The next moment, they tumbled onto a carpeted floor. Nico was about to speak, but Percy put a hand over his mouth. He listened hard and his eyes widened as he heard a muffled scream. Percy growled and ran into Annabeth's room.

He clenched his fists when he saw a man standing there. He had Annabeth cornered up and it was obvious she had no chance at defending herself. Sweat was matted to her forehead and she looked weak.

The man had one hand on her mouth and the other was snaking down to touch her.

Percy's eyes burned with rage and he slammed into the man. The man sure was bulky but he stood no chance against Percy.

Percy's fist connected with the man's jaw and he cried out in pain. The man tried to punch Percy back but Percy beat him to it by kneeing him in his sweet spot. Percy kicked him and he fell against the door like a rag doll. In a swift movement, Percy had him pinned and was punching him constantly. Annabeth stood up, shaking and almost fell but Nico caught her. He set her down on the bed and rushed to stop Percy from killing that pig.

He tried to grip Percy's hands but failed miserably. Percy now had his hands on the man's neck.

"How dare you touch my girlfriend?! How dare you even look at her?!" Percy screamed in anger. Nico slammed into him this time and Percy fell aside. The man began coughing for air. Over all this, Percy could hear Annabeth sobbing. He rushed to her and gathered her into his lap, kissing her forehead.

The man made a move to escape but Nico had him pinned this time.

Annabeth hugged Percy and through it all, Percy's eyes never left the man's. His glare was strong, making the man stay put. He was bald and a little buff, and reminded Percy of someone he once used to fear.

No more.

Percy carefully picked up Annabeth and took her out if the room into her parent's room. He laid her down there and kissed her forehead.

"I'll be right back, stay here." He told her but she didn't let go of his hand.

"D-don't leave me alone again." She said teary eyed.

An idea struck Percy.

"Wise Girl, are you ready to face that pig again?"

"Wh-What?"

"Trust me."

He took her hand and led her back to the room. Instead of Nico, a skeleton had the man pinned down. His nose was bloody and obviously broken. Percy's knuckles were bloody too, but it was the man's blood.

Percy pushed the skeleton away and twisted the man's arm, forcing the man to kneel. Percy made him face Annabeth and when she looked into her Seaweed Brain's eyes, she saw the stormy sea. The kind that drowns ships and throws sailors overboard.

"Punch him." Percy said.

Annabeth was reluctant but under Percy's gaze she obliged. She brought her hand back first and with an angry cry she slammed it onto his nose. He cried out in pain.

"Don't you ever touch anybody again. Or I'll find you and I'll kill you slowly and painfully." Percy said quietly.

The man nodded.

"Sorry. Let me go, please!"

"I don't think so." Nico interjected. The skeleton morphed into the form of a police officer and grabbed hold of the man. In a flash, they melted into a shadow.

"He'll be behind bars now." Nico stated and Percy nodded.

Annabeth was in Percy's arms now and Nico took that as a hint and walked out after Percy thanked him.

Percy comforted and whispered his love to her, soothing her.

"You know, I overheard you and Nico talking last week." Annabeth said staring at the floor. She had her head resting on Percy's chest and smiled when she heard him chuckle.

"Well, you know how much I love you now."

"I love you too, Percy. Thank you." She said softly.

Annabeth put a hand on Percy's heart and looked into his eyes. The eyes she had fallen in love with.

Percy put his hand on hers and he looked into her grey depths.

Their lips met the next moment and the world around them didn't matter anymore. She was all he needed and he was all she needed.

Their hearts had a Connection so unique and true, it was unlike any other.
