Chapter 24-
**Tamara’s POV**
I went upstairs and took my car keys.
Tom told me the address of a cabin back in some woods outside the city. Of course we would never have found Cindy there.
I promised Tom I wouldn’t tell anybody and that he would have to let Cindy go once he saw me.
I know it’s stupid but I have to save my best friend from this freak. I can deal with him later, but for now the most important here was her.
I made sure Mickey was asleep until I left. I didn’t want anyone to know or to jump to conclusions. I couldn’t risk Cindy’s life.
I got to the place around midnight and I only had my jacket and my sweat pants. In case I had to run, I didn’t want some stupid jeans coming in my way.
There were some lights on, and no other cars were around. Not even people.
That’s weird.
Is he crazy enough to do all this by himself?.
I got out of my car and looked around. It was dark and it smelled of seafood.
I heard a dog bark and if I wasn’t mistaken it came from behind the house. Before I could even think about where to run, the dog came running towards me and I jumped on the hood of my car with my hands balled up into fists.
Then I heard a whistle. “Kim! Come inside!” I heard Tom yell and then I saw him coming out of the cabin.
“Well hello my beloved girlfriend” He smiled while walking towards me.
I rolled my eyes. “What a hell of a welcome” I said.
He smirked. “My dog is a bit reckless” He said.
“Where’s Cindy?” I asked, getting straight to the point.
He raised an eyebrow. “No welcome kiss?”.
I rolled my eyes while getting off the hood of my car. “The deal was that if I showed up you-“
“Yeah, yea I know what the deal was” He said.
I looked at him. “Then where the hell is Cindy?” I asked.
“Watch your mouth” He said.
“Where is she???”.
“Chill I didn’t kill her” He said. “Bring her out!!” He yelled.
After a few moments some guy I didn’t recognize came out taking Cindy by the arm with a rope in her mouth. Her blonde hair was loose and messy. Her eyes were red from crying and I could see fresh tears running down her cheeks. She was wearing a white dress with green flowers on it and some black sandals.
I don’t remember her owing that!.
“Cindy!!!” I yelled.
“Shh, no need to scream” Tom said grabbing my arm.
I frowned. “Let her go, I’m not running away” I told him.
He smirked. “Now I can’t be so sure can I?”.
“Just let her go”.
“Okay” He said.
“Let her go” He told the other guy.
He let her go and I saw Cindy run the other way with her hands tied behind her back and the rope still in her mouth.
“What the hell? Why didn’t you let her loose? And why did she run the other way!?” I asked.
Tom lowered his head and whispered in my ear. “Cindy knew that if she came close to you, that my friend over there would shoot her”.
My eyes widened. What an asshole.
Before I could comment or say anything I felt someone hit me on the back of the head, knocking me out in the process.
*********----**********
**Cindy’s POV**
Helpless.
That’s how I felt right now. My best friend risked her life for me and for nothing. Her stupid ex-boyfriend is a freaking lunatic.
I can’t believe she fell in his trap. Luckily they didn’t hit her hard enough to make some damage.
She’s so dumb sometimes. I told her not to come but as stubborn as she is, she didn’t listen to me. Again!.
I’ve always told her that Tom wasn’t good for her but she chose to fight with me over him. So dumb.
Now we were trapped with no one knowing where we are and I’m sure no one will ever find us.
Alive.
This idiot just messed up our lives. And specially Tamara’s.
Finally when she was about to start a new life and get with Ryan, he had to come and screw everything up!.
“I see you’re awake” Tom said.
“That’s right. I don’t trust you while I’m sleeping. I still can’t get myself to sleep with one eye open” I replied.
He laughed humorlessly. “You and your sense of humor. I should of have dated you instead” He said.
I was so mad that I’m sure my nails were about to stay on the palm of my hand from clawing myself too much.
The idiot had tied me from hands and feet to a freaking chair.
“No thanks, I don’t date freaks” I said.
He came closer to me and grabbed a handful of my hair. “I’m not a freak” He said.
I’m not scared of him and I know Tam is not either. He’s a damn bluff.
I forced out a laugh while he let go of my hair.
“Then tell me what’s the name for a guy who is so obsessed with his ex-girlfriend that he kidnapped her best friend just to make her trade her life for mine and then hit her in the head without giving three fucks if she gets a goddamn concussion!” I spat.
He looked over at Tam who was tied into another chair in front of me.
“That’s called love” He said.
I raised a brow. “Oh really? If you ‘love’ her as much as you say, then why would you hurt her?”.
He thought about it. “Because that’s the way I love”.
“Well Tam, doesn’t deserve that kind of love” I said. “And you obviously don’t deserve her” I smiled.
He knew I was right but was too much of a freak to recognize it.
“Shut up!” He said and then he put the rope back into my mouth.
I was so used to this by now that it didn’t even bother me. I just stayed there looking off to my best friend who didn’t have an idea of what she had just got herself into.
*****
This chapter was more of a filler. I wanted to introduce at least a little bit of thinking from Cindy (:
