Chapter 35-

**Ryan’s POV**

We’ve been on the road for what seems like forever.

Well, I’m exaggerating, it’s been 30 minutes, but I want to get there already and have Tamara by my side.

“How much time till we get there?” I asked.

“Relax” Nick said. I’ve asked that 21 times already.

I sighed.

For what seemed like I went through all over the country, we got there. It looked like a deserted place. Middle of nowhere much?.

I could see the cabin was isolated. It was like in the middle of a forest. Jeez.

“Ok, guys, go to your positions” Steve said.

Nick and I went to hide behind some trees. We were told to wait for the girls to come out and so we could get them somewhere safe.

Swat people were going on the way of the cabin, all organized and stuff.

“Damn” I heard Nick say behind me.

“What?” I asked.

“This is so cool” He said.

I nodded. “Tell me about it”.

From where we were, I could see the officers lined up onto both sides of the cabin waiting for the signal to go in.

Steve had a bullet proof vest on him and his 9mkm handgun on the right hand.

Suddenly we started to smell something disgusting. It was like something rotting. Apparently everyone smelled it too. They started making weird faces and covering their noses.

“Gross” Nick said.

“SHhh” I said.

Steve gave the signal and two of the swat members took the door down with a kick and then everyone followed.

Nick and I made our way closer to the cabin just in case the girls came out.

It took a couple of minutes for them to come out again.

“This cabin is empty Steve” One of the swat members said.

My heart sank.

“What? That can’t be possible” Nick said.

I felt anger building up inside me. “That’s bullshit!” I said.

Then we heard a gunshot.

Holy hell.

Then more gunshots. People were shooting at the cops. So, they were here!. I knew it!.

“Dude cover!” Nick yelled.

I stayed where I was behind that tree taking everything in front of me. There were four dudes shooting to kill.

They kept on shooting and so did the cops. I had to cover my ears at one point, preventing myself from going deaf.

I saw Steve shoot and one guy from the other side went down, the bullet passing through his stomach.

Some cop ran our way and almost got shot, apparently they saw us hiding, because they started shooting the tree.

Dammit.

Nick and I had to go down. No way in hell I would start running away.

The cop got hit and fell to the floor on his stomach. I could see the blood pouring out from his body.
