 go back..

Vanessa stopped herself from walking any further to her car,  her cheeks soaked with tears and  her trembling hands resting over her stomach, she felt the pain hit her deeper as she took a harder look at her car that sat in the middle of the open driveway. .

Before I knew it I found myself running frantically back into that house as I searched for him the moment my foot stepped through the doorway. My eyes peered to my left as I caught sight of him sliding his balcony arcadia door shut behind him before his cloudy blue eyes finally met mine in the most sympathetic way.

Carelessly dropping my purse by my feet, I ran to him, tightly snaking my arms around his broad neck as I dug my tear soaked face into it, taking in his scent. I let out a soft cry as I felt his warm, muscular arms pull me closer into him, as I never felt such a longing for his touch.

"I missed you.."  Vanessa's soft voice muffled between his neck, as she planted a small kiss upon it as tears continued to fall from her cheeks.

Zac closed his eyes as he moved his hands up her back, bringing his cheek close to the side of her head.

Vanessa softly sniffled as she slowly brought her head out the crook of his neck, looking him him deeply in the eyes. "I'm so sorry, for everything."  She shook her head, as tears streamed. "I wasn't there for you when you needed me."

Zac gently shushed her, as he pushed strands of hair away that were in her face, softly shaking his head.

Licking tears from her bottom lip, Vanessa grabbed his hand as she brought it close to her lips, kissing it gently as she continued to stare into his eyes that were welling with small tears. "Don't go.. please."

Zac softly sighed as he glanced down at her plump glossed lips. "I have to, V.  I gotta be there." He looked into her eyes apologetically.

I extended my neck up a bit, as I softly brushed my lips against his, running my fingers through the back of his hair. "Stay."  I whispered between his lips.

Zac looked down for a second at her hand, before he took it in his. He soon looked back up at her.

---

Zac soon emerged from his hallway, He locked his IPhone screen as he just got off the phone with his agent to reschedule his flight to early tomorrow. Letting out a quick breath he looked up out to his balcony that overlooked Los Angeles. He watched as Vanessa spread her palms across the railing, with her short dark brown hair blowing softly in the wind as she gazed at the sun that set over the city.

He walked through the open arcadia door, as he crept up behind her, clothing his arms around her as he gripped his hand onto the wrist of his other one.

Vanessa softly rested her head back on his shoulder as she held onto his forearm.

"You know I'll be playing Ted Bundy in this new movie.."  He chuckled in her ear.

Vanessa giggled, nodding her head. "Yeah, quite the role there Efron."

Zac smirked, glancing down at her.

Vanessa looked up at him, flashing him a smile. "You'll do great.."

Zac stared down at her for a while, pursing his lips together, as he held her a bit tighter.

"I love y--."

-- Vanessa's eyes quickly fluttered open, she held her chest feeling her heart race and deeply inhaled as she slowly sat up from her bed. She examined her eyes around the room realizing she was still in her home. She glanced to the side of her only to be reminded that side of the bed was still empty. She ran her fingers through her hair trying to collect her thoughts..

"Damn.."  She whispered to herself.
