It was Saturday in the afternoon and it was about time to go to Violet's house and hang out with Violet and Hunter. I was so excited to finally hang out with all three of us again, after all this worrying about stupid school! The trees from the distant forest were gently swaying in the wind and the cars passing by on the street were creating a nice calming environment for me to calm my mind. Although, I guess I shouldn't be so naive about the forest when there has been some strange news on the television recently, I thought. A chill ran down my spine, so I decided to walk a bit faster. Time to get out of here and have some fun!

"Yay! You guys are here!." Violet screams as she runs to us at the door. Hunter and I both arrived at Violet's house at the same time, which is a good coincidence. "Let's go hang out in the living room." Violet says, as we follow her to the room. We all sat down and put on some games for us to all play.
"You guys are totally gonna be losers when we're done with this game." Hunter says with a mocking smile.
"Yeah right Hunter, I'm going to win." Violet replies.
"I think the real winner is me." I say while making a cute face.
"Challenge accepted." Hunter said while looking at both of us.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Looks like I was right." Hunter said.
"Whatever Hunter, I only lost because um... you cheated?" I said back to him while laughing slightly.
"I lost because I'm hungry." Violet said while staring off into nothing.
"You're always hungry." Hunter Said to her.
"What? You can't blame me for loving food." She replied once again.
We all got up and walked into the kitchen where a pizza was sitting on the table. Looks like Violet's parents bought us a pizza and left it here for us. We all got a slice before going back to the living room and sitting anywhere, even on the floor.
"So what do you guys think about all the things going on the news recently?" Violet said to make conversation.
"I think it's all just people wanting to get on TV is what I think." Hunter replied quickly.
"Or maybe it's some sort of fantasy creature! I would love it if I met a real life fantasy creature like in Wattpad!" Violet says sarcastically with a small laugh.
"Violet you're insane." I reply while laughing.
"I know." She says while laughing more.
"I mean I guess I wouldn't mind meeting like a werewolf or vampire or something either. That would be so weird yet so cool at the same time." Hunter replied to our conversation. I thought about it for a while and I guess It wouldn't be such a bad thing to meet a fantasy creature, I mean as long as I don't get hurt or anything. Right? You know what, maybe I'll just watch from a distance to be safe.
"Anyways, what time do you guys have to leave? I know we have to get up early tomorrow to go to Stella's birthday party." Violet asked.
"I'll be leaving in a little bit maybe like twenty minutes or so?" Hunter replied.
"Same." I added.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So glad that you guys were finally able to hang out with me again!" Violet said to us at the door. "Next time we have to have a sleepover." She added.
"Yeah!" Hunter said enthusiastically.
"Yes please!" I said also. Hunter and I walked outside and both waved back to Violet. We said our goodbyes and started walking opposite ways as Violet closed the door. Back to the silence and calmness of being outdoors. I looked up and saw that there was a full moon and was entranced by amazing it looked. The forest seemed peaceful and calm and the very few cars passing by made me feel a little better about walking home at night. I kept walking to my house and felt like I was being watched. Probably just paranoid, I thought. I passed the many streets and finally arrived to the street where my house was located.
As I walked closer to my house, the urge to walk a bit faster crept into my mind and I just allowed myself to go faster. I kept walking until I was at my front door and quietly closed the front door before going further into the house. Finally home and made it safely back! I walked into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and saw that the window curtains were open. I closed them and went upstairs to my room where I dressed into more comfortable clothes. After brushing my teeth, I went to bed and finally relaxed after a long day. The room was quiet and very dark, aside from the small light coming from the window.
I closed my eyes for about 10 minutes and I just couldn't fall asleep. I decided to just open my eyes and wait a while before trying to sleep again. I kept looking around my calm and peaceful room and I blinked once when I open my eyes, in front of the window was a shadow. It took me a while to realize that my mind was not playing tricks on me. My heart started beating rapidly and harder. The shadow moved slightly and that's when I decided to run. I completely tore the blankets off of me and started to run to the door. Before I could make it, something slammed into my back crashing me into a standing position against the door. "HE-!" I tried screaming before being cut off. It felt liked a hand was covering my mouth completely and I was completely unable to do anything.
Attempting to push this person off of me was an impossible task. My other hand was awkwardly and painfully being crushed by the thing pushing me against the door. I tried screaming, kicking, and pushing but nothing worked. I could feel that the thing got closer. I was able to slightly look back and saw what seemed to be a head of a person. Oh my god, Is this a murderer from the news? The person's face got closer to me and it seemed like they sniffed my neck! I could barely see that their face turned into a slight smirk. So many bad thoughts racing through my mind, I can't believe I might die like this. This creep is scaring me!
After a minute of being in that painful position, the person backed up quickly. I tried to open the door only to be turned around and picked up by my throat by a hand. I was lifted against the door and tried scratching and clawing at the hand. It was useless and had no effect. I slowly started losing air and feeling dizzy. I couldn't take it anymore and felt myself passing out slowly and fell gently on the floor before being picked up.
"I knew I would get you." A deep voice said before I completely passed out.
