She was a daydream
caught between fluorescent clouds and honey stung roses.
I caught her once,
singing with willows and plucking the breeze from the wind
with dirt on her lungs and cranberries in her cheeks.

Beneath the tower of the sky, she laughed
and sent a rain of pomegranates to the castle.
Searing silver memories in the soft earth,
she walked with embers in her feet,
and oceans in her lungs.
