Hey! I'm Nikki, that's short for Veronica Davidson. I'm half American, a quarter Spanish and a quarter Filipina. Obviously, my dad's American, he's from Texas. He's tall and really handsome for his age. Yeah, I'm a daddy's girl. What did you expect. My dad is a pilot, so he's not here most of the time.
My mom's half Spanish and half Filipina. She's so beautiful and tall. And quite a perfectionist. She owns a Filipino restaurant because she loves to cook Filipino dishes. And my dad loves my mom's cooking.
And finally, I have this beautiful older sister named Danni, short for Danica. Who is a dentistry graduating student in CEU. We are currently living here in the Philippines. And I love it here.
Enough of my family, this is my story so I'll start now.
I'm 17, soon to be 18, I have brown hair that ends at the middle of my back. Since my parents are tall, I am apparently not. Just kidding. I'm 5'7 and I'm quite tall amongst my friends. I just finished my highschool here. My college days will start tomorrow. I'm currently enrolled at Mapua and I'm a Mechanical Engineering student.
Okay, don't judge, I didn't know what I'm suppose to take for college and I am running out of options. I ended up taking this course because hey, this is a challenge. My mom face palmed at this when I announced them this. She said it's for boys. I just shrugged in return. My dad's cool with this though. Told you, I'm a daddy's girl.
Right now I-
"Hun are you listening?"
was cut off by my mom. Sheeesh.
"Uhh sorry mom, what did you say?"
She sighed. "I said be sure to come home on weekends." She looked at me then back to the road.
"Yes mom. Or you can always visit me in the dorm." I said sweetly.
"Oh I will missy." She chuckled and I smiled.
After a few minutes of silence.
"I just don't understand honey, why do you have to stay in a dorm? You're sister didn't." She whined.
"Mom, I just want to experience what it's like to live in a dorm. Just like Athena." I try to explain.
"Hun, your cousin is in Cali. There's a difference." She chuckled.
I rolled my eyes. I actually understand where mom is coming from. Here in the Philippines, an hour drive or more from home to school is normal. My sister does that. She's using my car by the way. And she sometimes take public transportations. She said it's a challenge riding it. And she loves challenges. She's weird.
"Here we are." Mom said in a musical tone as she park our car in front of the dorm.
"Hmmm. It's...nice." I convince myself while scrutinizing the exterior of the building. Mom just chuckled.
"I think it's nicer inside. I haven't seen it since it's your sister who found it." She said looking at the building.
"Yeah, it better be. Or she's dead." I said unbuckling my seatbelt. "Oh! And there better be no cockroaches or spiders in there!" I exclaimed at mom. She just laughed.

"The fck?!" I cussed as I open my dorm room.
"No cussing." Mom said as she poke my forehead.
"How can I not, my room's on the fifth floor and there's no elevator!" I whined while I plop myself on the bed.
"That's what you get for staying in a dorm." Mom smirked.
"Thanks mom. I feel your sympathy for me. You're very sweet." I rolled my eyes. She giggled at my sarcasm.
"Okay hun, I should probably go. All your stuff are here already so all you have to do now is unpack." She said and sat beside me.
"Mom, you're unfair. You're leaving because now I have to unpack and put my things in order. You really are my mother. Very caring indeed." I joked.
"Of course I am your mother. Where do you think you guys came out?" She playfully hit my arm. "Aaand...since you moved out of the house forty five minutes ago,"she said looking at her watch, "you now have to be a responsible individual. Meaning, you have to unpack and clean your shit up." She plopped her back to the bed while laughing hard.
"Moom! You shitting me?" I whined laughing.
"No shithead." We both laughed at this shit. Oh well. Got to love my mom.
